E-reader or Actual Book

For me it depends on what the book is all about. For some fun reading, I prefer an e-reader like a kindle or a nook. I find it practical especially when will be traveling as I won't have to worry about lugging around the extra weight. And I am the kind of person who can go through one book in one sitting, so I have to have more than one book with me. If it is for school, I prefer an actual book. Most of my school books are so used, lots of highlighted parts, lots of sticky notes, and sometimes I will even write on the pages.

Till now I I have not read in a Kindle or any e-reader as a matter of fact. Once I tried to buy Kindle but when I saw in the store I was not mighty impressed. Hence I love reading real books.

One of the things that I like about having a real book is the smell of the paper. I know it sounds nerdy and weird, but that's the smell that I always look for in bookstores or libraries.

That's what text books are for - writing in and highlighting. I don't have a Kindle, but someday maybe I will. You must not read very thick books if you can read them in one session.

Just the usual paperback ones from John Grisham or non-fiction the likes of Steven Dubner.

@Raine38 If you can read John Grisham in one setting you're doing good. His books are good, but deep. I take his a bit slower.

For the most part, I prefer reading actual books. It's what I like most. But I do have a Kobo (an e book), and I will use it sometimes. It is practical.

That's what I like about e-book readers, convenience and practicality.

I have not read in a long time! I really need to pick up a book again. I am not a fan of reading books much.

I used to read a lot. But with work, I can barely finish a book in a month. I am the worse because I will start reading multiple books and I never get to finish it so now I am in a hurry to finish them all. I actually have a couple of new books that I can't wait to start, but not until I finish the three that I have started.

I sometimes prefer my Kindle because I'm lazy-- love to read in bed and don't want to get up to shut the light off. But if it's a book I think will be important to me or that I'll want to reread over and over again, I prefer a real book.

Also in kindle, there's a setting where you can adjust the light and the size of the fonts.
