Why I found mylot

I was wracking my brain tonight for what to write about here. I've just been mostly sitting here playing the sims game on my phone or watching youtube videos. I've been poking around at people's discussions as well but haven't had much to contribute yet tonight.
I know that the veterans of mylot will know / may remember why I came to be on the first mylot. Those who are new here or who just haven't interacted with me may not know why.
I found mylot several years ago now. I can't remember the exact time but it was around 2008 for sure. In any case, I was searching online for ways to earn income.
You see I quit my job at the hotels because the work was starting to get to me health wise. I was not happy there with long hours and a sort of stressful situation anyway. I was a banquet server and we could have up to three banquets a day, working 12 hour shifts. This can be stressful and painful when you have to wear uncomfortable shoes and clothes and walk back and forth between two hotels and a convention center.
I started dating my now ex husband at the time as well. So add maintaining that relationship with an already lack of sleep? I ended up quitting. I quit, thing progressed between my now ex and I and I moved in with him. I couldn't find a job though, and wasn't able to find work for several years.
I came online to earn a little bit of income towards our eventual wedding. I found a job shortly before the wedding but it only lasted around the span of a year. The job required me to take care of my ex's great grandmother. She started to hallucinate and they found she had a clot in her leg. The medicine she was required to take thinned her blood and they were concerned about 24/7 care so they moved her to a nursing facility. I lost my job because the contract was only for her. The company I worked for had a hiring / income raise / promotion freeze so while they would have gladly taken me on again, they couldn't.
So I came back to mylot then, though I never did leave. I've used various other sites throughout the years, but this site has always been the most fun to be on and the one I trusted the most.
Now with a job that has caused not only myself, but my entire department stress and grievances... Well I am just glad to be here and glad to have the added income, even if it's not much.
Why did you find mylot? Why did you find any kind of internet income?

I found MyLot a long time ago looking to make some extra money. I think most people have that found MyLot. I joined, checked it out but did not understand it at the time. I was very new to the internet world. So, I stopped coming here for months. I looked around the internet for way to earn money. Well, nothing good came my way. So I actually forgot about MyLot and couldn't remember the name of the site. I never bookmarked it. Well, one day I stumbled upon it and came back. I learned and read the rules and guidelines and the rest is history. I only left here because they sold the site and the new owners stopped paying. That's when I discovered Bubblews. That continued up until they closed down. But near the end of Bubblews life, I learned that MyLot was bought back and was going to start the earning system again. I came back here in July of last year. I never got rid of my account and I am glad I never did.

I never got rid of my account either but when I came back I couldn't log in. I tried all the passwords I knew and to no avail. Oh well I just created a new one instead of emailing the staff. I remember you from the old mylot but I'm not sure if we ever ran into each other on bubblews. I stopped using it about the first year in.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am not sure either. Not that it matters about Bubblews anymore. I am just so happy to be in the place that started it all for me.

I found myLot when Bubblews closed. I was posting and the site went down. I had heard of myLot by people who were leaving Bubblews. I found Bubblews while on a site called cafemom. I went to Bubblews thinking I would write interesting articles and be paid for them. The "payment" didn't impress me but I found the interaction so great I stayed. So that is how I ended up on myLot.

I've heard of all of the sites you've mentioned. I was on bubblews and the pay was great for awhile. I decided to wait until I had accrued over $100.00 to cash out. They jipped me about $60.00 if I remember correctly. I decided then and there I wasn't going back.
Glad you are here now.

@paigea I guess I had more faith in the Bub site then I should have.
THe old mylot used to have the ability to keep the cash until you got to $100.00 but I never did. If they bring it back, I may do so.

I found MyLot mostly to have something to do. I live alone and am mostly retired, so there are times when I am too tired to get into a project (like cleaning the bathroom!) and just want to relax somewhere online. That was several years ago. I don't come here as often as I did then, but it's still a good place.

@ScribbledAdNauseum The tub is a back breaker for me! And I need to get down and scrub the floor really good. I'd rather MyLot.

I remember you from the old mylot I believe. I think I come here more now than I did even several months ago.
Oh and as for cleaning the bathroom? That can be a project and a half! We keep cleaners for the toilet by the toilet so we can do that fairly quickly, also have lysol wipes on the sink for that. It's the shower that's the killer!

I joined Mylot back in late 2009 however i can't remember joining until I came across the website in August saying my email was already being used. So here I am.
Ever since I've had a computer i've always thought that my computer should be making me money and not there to do other things.
Have you seen the movie July and Juliet? It was around 2009 I saw it, I'd gotten word I got into the London marathon, I'd not ran for a few goods years. Well in the movie the lady writes a blog, and i thought I'd like to do something like that maybe write about my running and maybe earn some money from it too. The movie is a true story, my kind of movie, like true stories. So thats how I came to being online.

Did you ever create a blog then? I tried that once and it's not for me. I used to write on those journal type communities but that was 15 years ago at least.
Oh and no I've not heard of the movie.

I was with Associated Content which was taken over by Yahoo and then shut down. I am still with Wikinut which has stopped payments. In between, I was for a while with Bukisa.
I am more comments driven and love to interact, and when I came to know about MyLot I knew it fitted me like a glove! I am enjoying my time here and hope to stay the course - siva

I have been with all of the sites you have mentioned. Mylot still remains my favorite. I prefer the interaction and feel of mylot over any other site. Give me a place wher eI can talk freely, and not feel as if I need to remain on topic.

Sorry to hear that you haven't found a really good job. I can't remember how I came to find Mylot but I am glad I did. I have been here about eight years. Always trying new sites and prioritizing them as to how quickly I can build money. Was working then so it took longer for me to make pay out.

I used to love my current job. It's just that everything has gone to the crapper lately there. I remember you from the old lot as well celtic. I don't try too many new sites, mostly sites like swagbucks, Instagc, Gift Hulk, Inbox Dollars and Unique Rewards. Out of all of those I do this one and SB the most.

My sister was asking me about how to do stuff like this at one point. I think she gave it up when she realized it wasn't going to net her the money she needed. She wanted to be a housewife.

My dad introduced me to online writing and making money from it. Him and I both enjoy writing and he always tried for many many years to try and find ways to make money from it. He started me on another site..and from there I found this one. And I love it here.

I haven't ventured into the more article based ventures as it's not really my style. I know it offers more income but just not something I want to do at this moment. So how many years have you earned residual income with writing online?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh I have only been doing this for maybe two years. I have only been doing any kind of making money online for two years. I sure wish I would have found it sooner.

I am not totally sure what I was looking for when I came to myLot. My special lady told me about it because I just now started working and most of it seems to be going towards fixing this house. I'm not sure what to think of the people here either. There isn't much interaction but I suppose that is because of the time of year.

Are you not sure what to think of the people here or the people at your new home?
Just kidding, I know what you meant. I hope you come to enjoy it here.
