Did I Just Eat Some Bad Chicken? / myLot

I bought a ready-made caesar salad with chicken for dinner and am wondering if the chicken was bad. On the first bite, I noticed that the chicken did not taste so good, but not terrible. I thought it was just from part of the chicken that is not my favorite. Then a had a few more pieces and really didn't like it, so I pushed them to the side. I just ate the vegetables after adding some fresh tomatoes and mayo. After a while I realized that the veggies had the faint taste of that chicken. Now I'm wondering if the chicken was bad and contaminated the whole salad. I did stir it all up when I first opened it. What do you think? Did I just eat bad chicken?

I was afraid it might be bad. I was going to go to a party tonight and now I'm wondering if I should stay home just in case.

Too bad. My son just told me to take some echinacea. It is an anti-bacterial. Couldn't hurt.

Have you had this brand before? Did you check the expiration date? I sometimes come across already made salads being a hit/miss.

It was made by the grocery store deli. The expiration date was for Jan 13th.

@Dalane Have you tried this ready made salad before? If not, it could just be a bad batch or that is how it tastes. Regardless, I hope this does not upset your stomach and probably not a salad I would buy again.
