If You Go Out Looking Your Best....

If you go out looking your best,
And in your fine clothes you are dressed,
No-one you know
Will say hello,
There won't be a soul that's impressed.
But if you go out looking quite drear,
And a mirror you've never been near
No make-up in sight
Looking a fright,
All your friends are bound to appear!

I do neither. I do not go out looking like a slob, but do not dress up anymore either. Who cares anymore?

@jaboUK A little lipstick and a touch of blush is all the prep I do now. I would skip those too, but I am so fair skinned that my face disappears without some added color.

@ElizabethWallace I often don't bother with make-up at all (well not just to go to the shops etc).

I have noticed the same to be true
No doubt it has happened to you
Your hair is a fright
Your dress is too tight
Your friends want a selfie or two

@jaboUK I agree, when did this erupt, or have you kept a lid on it all this time, or I just missed it.

Boy ain't that the truth @jaboUK . It's to the point now that 'when' I dress up and put on make-up, people have to do a double-take to realize that it's me.

@fishtiger58 That's me for sure too. And if I color my hair, it really throws them off.

Yes this is true. Though I don't like my neighbors for a different reason. During the summer they are always loud! They know that their property echoes up to ours but do they care? Not at all. ![](/Content/images/emotes/angry.gif)

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes real friends won't care, but you are just as likely to meet a snobby neighbour![](/Content/images/emotes/sad.gif)

I just wear what I want and I do not put makeup (except for special occasions) even when I go to office. I am so happy that all of the job I went, all the bosses do not require a dress code (again, except for 1, who do not give confirmation after 6 months hehe).
Like @ElizabethWallace said.. who cares? haha
