Just the sound of it....

I was out running my errands today, with the radio turned up, like always. I am definitely the type that has the radio turned way up singing and dancing in my car, and I don't really care who sees me.
Until that song comes on. The one that reminds me of my past. Or my ex-partner to be exact. And I have to change the station on the radio.
I have a few songs like this. The songs that just drudge up every feeling and emotion that you once had. Weather bad or good.
I must say I prefer the good ones, the ones that I can't help but smile as I sing along to. Those are the best.
Do you have songs that remind you of your past? And are you the type that sings and dances in your car?? I know I am not the only silly one out there.

I have been with my husband now for 30 years. Many songs remind me of years past with him. Especially the song we danced to at our wedding.

I guess there are a few out there that makes me think and rather not listen too, I think it's more the words in the song rather than the song/track itself plus also the state of my emotions that day. I know something things just come out the blue and wonder what hit you.
Now for dancing and singing in the car no your not the only one although I only do it when on on else is in the car lol

I have a song that for years I couldn't sing or listen to after my "big" ex and I split. Now I can listen to it and be happy for the memories at the very least.
There are still songs that make me think of family members and those I have to turn off or change the station on.

@T_gray One day it will come on and you'll start to sing along and not even realize it. That's how it happened for me.

I tend to keep quiet in the car if my other friends are around, but when it's just me and my best friend, my weird goes on and I keep singing :D
I love singing in general, so I sing whatever my mood pleases!

Whenever I have a current favorite song (it changes and is pretty diverse), I always play them on and on. And when the radio happens to put it on, I turn it up and hopes it never ends. There are times that a song will play and while it is something that I have not heard for a long time, I would bounce with it. And then there are songs that I like that I do not even know the title, but I know the words, and others that I only know the chorus.
