One too many drinks and you start to look okay

We 'doctored' a photo of a group of our friends once and sent them out as Christmas cards. There are many computer applications, if that's the right word, allowing you to enhance various features of a photo, usually done to improve the picture in some way. But such applications can also be used for comic effect.
We had one which allowed us to exaggerate facial or other features. I won't post the photo we created of our friends but this is of Vince and I, treated in a similar manner. Isn't it a doozie? Do you ever doctor photos just to create something funny?

It's amazing the special effects that can be used.

Applications is the word that is used now, but it used to be programs. We had a "program" that would do the same thing. I can't recall what it is now though.
I don't "doctor" them but I will add different filters via the facebook application or via the application in my phone. I have a normal camera but hardly, if ever, use it.

@JudyEv What did your friends have to say about you sending them their doctored photos as Christmas cards?

@silvermist They were a bit bemused but then thought it was funny. We made sure Vince and I looked as bad if not worse then the rest of them. We had known these folk a long time so we knew they wouldn't be offended.

My grand daughter downloaded some sort of app on my phone one time and did this. It was funny and she had a great time at it. I do think it is comical to do this and see it done. I don't think people mind and I know a lot of them get a good laugh out of this one.

I haven't done the funny effects, but when I have a photo of someone who's closed their eyes, I give them "eyes." It's worked pretty well the few times I've done it, but on one photo of my baby grandson, he ended up looking like a little alien! Your photo is hilarious! Like they say, "Reality ain't what it used to be."

Haha....a really funny special effect! Yes I've edited many pictures in photo applications, and made a completely ordinary photo either comical, or beautiful, or sketchy.....

I was going to say how lovely you both look even before I read the article ha! - looks brilliant. Thought it was latex masks rather than morphing software - great fun.

The edit tool I se the most frequently is the crop. I can clean up so much by eliminating the edges.
