Having Dinner as a Family

January 11, 2016 5:06pm CST
Growing up my family always ate dinner together. And on weekends we ate breakfast and dinner together. I appreciate the fact that I grew up that way. It helped me become a family-oriented and selfless person. I also learned how to cook

My family did the same as when I grew up. I hadn't done that in awhile until i met the woman I'm with today. She has great values, that being one.

I also grew up on the same setting when family eats together. It's the same thing I'm doing now that I have kids.

Having a meal together with others helps it to bring them to put differences a side for a little and bond.

When I was a kid, I always had dinner with my parents and sister. But now with our different schedules and erratic hours of work, it has become almost impossible. Now that you have started this post, I can see my home situation more clearly.

I live with my daughter and grandson now and we don't eat together. I live most of the time upstairs in my room and my daughter brings me my evening meal. A lot of reasons for this.

We lived like that too, but in my own family shared meals are rare these days

We always ate as a family when I was a kid. We did that as well as my kids were growing up, not anymore as one son is always as work and the other is away at college.
