Helping children in need...

“Our main goal in life is to help the others…and if you can’t help, at least don’t hurt them.” (Dalai Lama) Before Christmas I had the opportunity to meet some special children, without parents (they are dead or they don't want to take care of their children). With my classmates, we went to two orphanages, where we brought presents...I discovered pure souls, happiness and sadness at the same time, longing for parents and I was very happy and proud because I could help, I could put a smile on someone's face. For these children to be loved is a bless and the attention drawn to them means a moment of happiness, of hope… I think that we should help more because we really can...

It is so sad that some parents do not want to take care properly of their own children.

@marlina It is sad how some parents will not take care of their children and give them up. I often wonder why have them in the first place.

@marlina I agree with you...this is very sad and i think that once you born a child, you have the responsability to take care of him or her...In fact, they are only pure souls who have no guilt for what is happening.

Yes, I think it's the responsibility of those who have more than enough to share some of their wealth with charities and helping out the less fortunate. We can also spend some time with them to let them know they are loved. It's wonderful you were able to visit some orphanages and spread some happiness!

@Bomber109 I think that the time spent with them is more important for these children than all presents in the world...some attention, love, peace, understanding is all they really need..

It is good you and some others were able to bring some happiness to children like this. Poor kids whose parents do not want them but hopefully someone will in the future.

@Marcyaz I would be very happy if more and more people will be proud, happy to participate at these kind of activities...I'm sure that we can and this world could be a better place, but this will happen only if we make some emotional and physical effort... All in all, these children have no guilt...
