The First Snow

Last night we had our first snow of the season and it was just perfect.
It came down as soft, white, fluffy snow and it was less than an inch. It looked so pretty coating the grass and the wind managed to blow 99% of it off the driveway and sidewalks by the time I finished my first cup of coffee.
NO shoveling required. NO slipping and falling and NO icy pavement.

@abbygreenhill it was just enough and now it can disappear for the rest of the winter

@Marilynda1225 I don't think that will happen - the disappearing the rest of the winter part.
But you can dream!

It is amazing you are just getting your first snow now in January friend. We have had very little snow this season, yet there is some on the ground still. It is going to be 56F here today and the sun is beating down.

@anneej we got just enough to make it look pretty but now most of it is gone between the sun and wind today. We're getting more rain over the weekend

We've had snow for the past week now. And more of it this weekend but it looks so pretty. We've only gotten like an inch of snow and each time we get it, it melts away.

i bet that was sure purty to watch, ms. marilyn. last snow that ventured through these parts was a 2 day blizzard that left 5-8' snowdrifts 'n taller 'n some places. but, there was barren ground elsewhere, lol. so glad'ja didn't need to get out 'n tend to a wintry mess.

Here in Oregon, we don't have any snow, and for that I am glad too, as I hate the stuff. I won't drive in the stuff, as I am not sure of myself, so if and when t snows, I stay home, until it decides to quit. Snow isn't welcime at my house.

Sounds like a good snow to me! lol I think I would enjoy snow more if I didn't have to work. I hate having to go out and drive in it. It makes me nervous.
