Leaving it in last year....

So I had a lot of bad things happen to me last year. Well things that I consider bad. They could have always been worse I suppose.
But right up until December 30th, my life sucked. I had no hopes of it getting any better.
Until New Years Eve, I met someone who turned my life around. I spent the evening talking to this person. And together we decided to have the best year yet.
So all the problems that I had as of December 30th, I am leaving in last year. And I will not let them roll over into this year.
And so far its been a great year. I am taking it day by day, and doing my best to stay positive, happy and therefore staying healthy.
I am hoping everyone makes the most of this new year, even as cliche as that might sound.

It is amazing how God puts people in our lives right when we need them. We found the people in our Church at the perfect time, they helped us so much and without them our life would be so much worse than it is right now. We are so grateful for them!

Yes until then things had been bad, 30th of December was a turning point for you and for me. The last few months of 2015 had been so hard and I didn't know what to do.
Lets make this year the best we've ever had and never looking back. What's in the past can stay in the past, I'm looking towards the future and what that will bring, I hope the same for you too.

As long as you have your health you have it made--more than that as long as you wake up in the morning you have it made!! I am 80 and I am grateful every morning--trust me I've been through the mill and every day makes em glad to be alive. I am poor, no car, etc., but I have a roof over my head, clothes on my back, food in my belly and Mother Nature outside--everything else is extra!

@GreatMartin Good thinking,, anything else good is a bonus, as you say....look around, there are always others much worse off, so it pays to be grateful, even when Your world seems to be falling apart, as it sometimes does...

You do realize that cliches are popular because they have a great deal of truth. Yes, I plan to make this a great year!

Last year has been tough and challenging for me as well. But I am with you when you said to take it one day at a time. We don't really know what's in store for us and there will never be a way for us to know for certain. So instead of worrying for the unknown future, let's live at the present enjoy life's little blessings.
Glad to hear that the year started good for you. Keep your head up and that positive attitude.

@crazyhorseladycx Sound advice... and we all have such years to dump in Room 101, which must at times be bursting at the seams... just lock the door behind you

I am having a fabulous year so far, even with a person trying to ruin it for me, I will not allow them! I let them make me cry for a few days but no more. I am back to my happy self.
You can do what you set out to do, dont let anyone drag you down either.
