Recently I read a post about Typos by Sharon here on the site. In Sharon’s discussion she was telling about how she has typos in her comments. A while back I wrote a post about a free program called Ginger. This can be downloaded and used with Office and a few other word processing programs and even note pad. I know that Ginger has a plug-in that works with Chrome.
Here is the beauty of this program and why I use it myself.
• The program runs in the background. When you type or misspell a word it is underlined in red.
• Words are easily identified and can be corrected before you post your discussion or replay.
• Right click on the word underlined in red. Chose the correct word from the list. The word is replaced with the correct spelling.
Tips –
• A simple way to avoid spelling or typo errors on your discussion is to first write them in Word or even note pad. Here you can use Ginger to correct all your typos. Ginger even has a grammar checker that can help correct some easy grammar errors.
• Copy and past your test to the discussion box. Here you can edit the text if you wish so the formatting looks nice.

Here is the post this discussion was written from. Thanks to Sharon and her post I saw how many people have minor problems with typos or spelling errors.
Try this program and you’ll find it really helps when commenting on MyLot or other places on the net.
Everyday when I write a discussion, I always double check it for typos. Most of the time it's okay but there are times when I have to go back and correct...

Comments I just let myself go. But thanks for the app recommendation. I have another problem.
I use msword when writing. It does help. I find words in spell cheque don't always work for me duh but when it does correct me speeling it doesn't always do it the way I want it to. When it does do it correctly it makes correcting so easy I never learn how to spell the word like I would if I had to use a dictionary.
That is because computers make it so easy and they do speed things up so much that we don't take the time to improve our writing skills. Some programs even suggest how we should write to the point where it writes for us. The next step in computer technology will see people mumbling something into a microphone and letting the computer write something for them which may not be anything like what they would write but since it does it so well, it will be allowed.
Does it sound like I'm venting? Sorry. Just sayin'

@poehere We are talking about typo's right? You said, I still think human's can't do it like us. and beginning to scare me. Are we something other than human? How can I check? Pinch. Yep that hurt.
Well the easy way out will make me lazy. I may keep working on my writing skills but have to say my pencil isn't getting any shorter.

No you are right. Currently in windows 10 and also on MAC products there is a VA. Virtual Assistance are the new thing and they are suppose to learn from us. So this one has got to be very difficult and as fast as technology moves on the faster this will happen and the more changes we will see in the end. I still think human's can't do it like us.

@poehere I was trying to make a joke about your typo that's all. Okay not funny.
I find technology works. Perhaps it works too well because I'm not learning when I use it. I remember in school where we were told to give answers but also give proof. In math for example it went in the margin. We would need to explain our conclusion in lit. When machines do it for us we don't need to think it out. So I need to stop taking the easy way out and do the work to learn. Sometimes I don't for other reasons. One reason I am sure you can guess what it is.

I have then automatically running since I started using Chrome exclusively. I usually write my post in notepad and then cut and paste it here. Works well for me.

@poehere ...I don't have Word as an option. We all have our way of doing things.

Spell check is wonderful. But proof reading is even better. I think it's important to read your work. I am guilty of not really proof reading all for forums. I can post a replay and after go back and read it. I find out that i have a few major errors in my comment. I need to take more time to proof read my comments.

This is another useful post. I don't use Ginger but I always type up my posts in Word first and correct and edit before submitting. Occasionally I hae a typo in the comments but mostly I like to think I find them before hitting 'enter'.

I just type in gmail, and it tells me about misspellings. Still may miss wrong words, but catches most mistakes
