Oh No! It's Snow !

The day may have started with brilliant sunshine and an almost cloudless sky, it's all now changed, as the good old British weather has a nasty habit of doing, hour by hour!
The White stuff is now floating past my window, in ever increasing amounts, and all just in time for the morning 'School run'... which will be blessed by all the parents, who don't drive their kids to school...but thankfully I'm not one of them.
Give us a little warning Snow god, while you may pretty the place up for a while, in everyday use, you are not a welcome visitor, so hopefully you will move on fairly quickly, so that Suffolk's hills and dales, don't become a No-Go area, as happens around here, at even a hint of adverse weather, where we slide to a standstill.....so bye,bye

Here, where I live in Oregon, we have no snow, and I am glad about that, as I don't like the stuff. I stay home, and won't get out and drive in it, as I get scared drving in the stuff, as I don't want to get into an accident, as I don't drive to well in it, and so I will stay home and be safe.

@bookbar You got that right. I drove in snow when my kids were younger, and I just could n't stop when I needed to, and ended up turning a whole 90 degrees, which scared me and the kids. I didn't get into an accident that time though, but it scared me enough to never want to drive in it again.

Oh lovely did you take that photo Jen?
Poor England watered and snowed down. Stay warm and toasty if you can.

@TiarasOceanView....'Not on your nelly' as they say here, I was locked away in the warmth of central heating, however unhealthy it may be...I leave the white stuff to the kids, who can still find joy in it's arrival.... those days are long gone, when you didn't mind frozen fingers, toes and other things....Roll on Summer!!

@bookbar It's the wind that really gets through to the bone. I watched a YouTube clip once of a girl in Scotland trying to shut a car door against the wind. It was a 4WD but she just couldn't get the door shut the wind was so strong.

The Priests whose job it is to predict the doings of the Snow God did actually mark parts of East Anglia as likely places where He might show Himself today. I inspected the entrails earlier this week and noted that the auguries were for 'wintry showers' this Thursday (being today). I made a note to not plan to go out today but to turn the heating up, make Shepherd's Pie and an Apple Crumble (ready for a trip to see my sister tomorrow) and, if my luck held, Snow Pancakes.
Actually, it looks as though Snow Pancakes are off the menu today. Maybe I should Suffolk-ate and scrape up some snow!

@owlwings Haha,...I am obviously not as observant as you and tend to disregard most weather predictions as the 'old village men' are usually more reliable, but too many trips into town, means I haven't bumped into them...but a handful of snow looks entirely possible for later, although it has stopped for now, the sky looks suitably ominous, for your Suffolkating trip...Shepherd's pie and Apple crumble does sound a welcome alternative to Snow pancakes though

OK so it snowed in Sudbury yesterday, hmmm... knowing the area that means by now it is all gone. Then I looked again and you said Suffolk's hills and I thought Sudbury isn't in Suffolk, it on the Thames. But even so Suffolk is far enough south that the snow won't settle for too long.

Wow you don't get snow very often on Suffolk do you? I have seen a dusting when we visited Cambridgeshire but not often.

@BelleStarr....Not often, thank goodness, but it has a nasty habit of catching you unawares, as yesterday did, coming out of a very sunny morning blue sky...

Hope the snow doesn't accumulate to much and disrupt your day

@Marilynda1225 Thankfully the gales blew it elsewhere but did leave behind Black Ice on this morning's roads, which slowed everything to a crawl, if you managed to stay out of the ditches....roll on Summer

I got caught in the snowy sleety stuff. It started just as I got off the bus and finished just after I got into work twelve minutes later. *sigh* That's probably it for the winter, now. :)
