Saying Goodbye Is Hard Sometimes...

I have this thing where when Im saying farewell to someone, I dont like saying Good-bye but instead I say see you soon. The word Good-bye seems like you wont see the person ever again and can make for an emotional farewell. So when im with my family or relatives who come to visit me from the states, I never say Good-bye, I wish them safe travels and I tell them we shall meet up again soon. Do you have trouble with saying good bye to loved ones?

@BACONSTRIPSXXX Here we have a custom that we must not say goodbye when we leave. We should say , ''I will go and come''. Or we can say see you soon.

Yes because good bye seems so final. I agree with you and usually say see you again!

I know a lot of people have trouble saying "Good Bye" because, like you, they feel it is permanent. I find it easier to say bye than to say farewell. See you later seems to be less dramatic and that actually works for my kid. She doesn't like to say good bye either.

Me too, saying those words means hurting myself..I too find it hard to say goodbye though that is a formal way than bye.

It bothers me too, because chances are I won't be seeing them again for a long, long time.
