Day 33 – Conspiracy 2 Chronicles 33:21-25 When someone is so bad you don’t want anything to do with them, what do you do? Do you think of ways to ditch that person so you never have to deal with them again? Do you avoid that person by telling them lies so you won’t need to hang out with them? Some people will even go as far as thinking of ways to kill them to be rid of them once and for all. Amon was the next king of Judah. He was so bad in everything he did his servants conspired to kill him. Then the people killed the servants who killed him. Conspiracy never accomplishes anything good. Not only will people know what you did, they will find ways to get rid of you as well. There will always be someone who will defend evil, which is what the people were doing when they killed the servants who killed King Amon. Before you do anything rash about someone you dislike so much you want to get rid of them, it’s best to seek God’s will in the situation. Not only are you violating man’s laws about murder, you are violating God’s law concerning murder. Thou shalt not kill is one of the Ten Commandments. Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. (KJV) As Christians we are commanded to love everyone, even our enemies. We are to do good to them who persecute us and do all manner of evil against us. Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (KJV) Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. When we practice the law of love, God will reward us. Jesus didn’t say it would be easy. In fact, Jesus said it would be difficult, and people would hate us just as much as they hated Him, and eventually put Him to death on the cross because they didn’t like what He did and taught the people. John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. (KJV) Don’t be like the servants of Amon who killed him because he was evil, the same will be done to you. Instead, give the situation to God and He will get rid of the evil from your midst. Do good to all people, knowing you will have your reward in heaven. Let’s pray: Father, help me practice the law of love towards all people and turn all those who do evil towards me and their fellow man over to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. It is difficult to pray for those who come up against you but it's worth it to do so. Jesus was hated by many and those who are anointed receive lots of hate. Love conquers hate. God is love and that's why He sent His son to doe for our sins. I can't deny that it doesn't uoset me to see people being attacked or when they do it to me but God said Vengeance belongs to Him.

I agree. It is difficult to pray for people who come against us, but we are to do so and allow God to take care of our enemies.
