Do your dreams affect what you do the next day?

Right before I woke up this morning, I was dreaming of the usual stuff: something about imperfect communication with a friend (a bit troubling), a bit of an embrace with a favored ex- (wish fulfillment), and then, finally, pancakes. I was dreaming about pancakes. They were slathered in butter and maple syrup, and my mouth was watering.
My favored ex- lives in Chicago now. Nothing I can do about that. But pancakes. I checked the clock, realized I had time before work, and made a delicious batch of pancakes. Now I am full and happy. I even took a picture of my pancakes, so I can share the joy.
Do you remember your dreams? If so, do they ever affect how you conduct your day?

I remember all my nightmares, but rarely my dreams. I made a strange one last night where I was wearing brown corduroy trousers and a white shirt with red stripes, and I have never had such clothes. It intrigued me, and it is all I remember from this dream. I do not think I will buy these clothes though.

@infatuatedbby You're making me hungry. But it's a Tom Kha Gai kind of evening.

I do remember my dreams. For the past decade or so, I've dream-plotted my novels and write them for Nano and Camp Nano/Julno every year. I hope to make my dreams come true, when I land an offer with an agent this spring and get a pub deal right after it and before my birthday. I don't need outlines anymore and use my dreams instead.

I don't remember my dreams. I have had two bad hits on the head and I think that is why. I do, however, remember a scary dream I have when I am sick. Running with all my might across a plowed field with a man coming after me. I have this dream every time I am sick enough to have a fever. Weird, huh? My body chasing the toxins out I guess. I don't know. Confusing.

Usually if I have a dream @TheHorse , it is premonitory and most of the time, not good. One weird one though happened in 1974 when I lived in Omaha, Nebraska. I dreamed I was having a conversation with a woman about dogs. I didn't own any dogs at the time and didn't know who this woman was. In 2008, I was living in Fairfield, Texas and had offered some of my land to house an animal shelter. The President of the organization was helping me with the animals one day and our conversation led; 'word for word', of what I dreamed about in 1974. I knew what she was going to say before she said it. I don't have many dreams, but when I do, I pay attention.

@TheHorse My first thought was, "Holy Crap!" My second thought was the theme music from the Twilight Zone.

Yea sometimes I remember my dreams. There was a dream in which I was with my school friends in a different place and enjoying with them.I got that dream may be because I was missing them a lot and we people have not met from quite a long time.I, on the following day, made a plan and had met some of my school friends and it felt really awesome.

Dreams are a very interesting way of communication between our subconscious & our conscious mind. Mostly people remember only 10% of their dreams. I read a book of Dr. Brian Weiss, which said that sometimes dreams can be related to our daily life, sometimes it can be about a future event that we might be anxious about or a past incident that affected us a lot or it can be absolutely absurd & irrelevant dream too.
Whatever the case is, my dreams hardly affect my conduct, though I had a couple of instances of Deja Vu.

I remember some of my dreams. Something such as food that I can easily make it myself, then perhaps I will do that. I always dream of eating!
Your pancakes look good! It's our pancake day today, so I am going to make some pancakes for breakfast soon.

I rarely remember my dreams, so I don't know if they affect what I do the next day. However, when I wake up craving certain food (bacon), perhaps I dreamed about it first!
