I Won the BINGO One Million CFP Jackpot Last Night

I won! I won the BINGO jackpot last night of one million CPF which is right around $10,000 USD. I never play BINGO, the Lottery, or even enter drawing for the most part. However, last night my best friend begged me to come and help her out. Her family runs a BINGO game here on the islands on Wednesday and Friday nights and again during the afternoon and evening on Saturday and Sunday. This month my friend is responsible to make the snacks they sell during the game. They sell grilled cheese sandwiches, egg sandwiches which we call canopies, slices of cake, drinks and a few other items. I went with her to the family game where around 50 people showed up last night because they had a one million CPF jackpot. I helped her sell tickets, game boards, and food during the night. When it was time to play the one million CPF jackpot we decided to buy a ticket or one game board for a dollar. The mad rush was on as people lined up to purchase their game boards. Most people bought anywhere from 20 to 50 boards. Now this is a lot of board to play all at once. I have no idea how they do it. We still had to sell food to the players and deliver it to where they were sitting at the table. We took turns marking the numbers, preparing food, running the cash box and delivering the food to the table. When the next few numbers were called it was my turn to look at our board. I couldn’t believe we only had 2 numbers left for the blackout board we needed to win the game. When the next number was called it was on our board. Now we only had 1 number left to fill in. Three more numbers were called and none of them were mine. Then here it came the next number called was mine. I had won the jackpot with my friend. I won last night 1 Million CFP playing BINGO. This is the first time I have ever played this game. No I am not hooked on this game and will now run to every BINGO night on the island. However, if my friend needs help again I will go with her. We might play again a board or two but I don’t know now. It all depends on how we feel and how busy we are with the players. Do you ever play BINGO and have you ever won a large jackpot playing BINGO? BTW – I was given all the winning for this ticket. She wasn’t allowed to play the game. But on the way home I gave her half the winning because we shared the board together. I just couldn't stay away today. I had to come here to share this. Now I'm off again and catch you later. Have a wonderful day. If you've never done something like this before give it a try. You might have a nice surprise like I did. This was the perfect ending to a very bad day. Thank you so much. It was a surprise and considering I never played before it was a real shocking surprise.

Congratulations. That is fantastic. I never play bingo nor do I play the lottery. I wouldn't want to put money into something that i know possibly I would never win. i don't have that kind of money anyway. I am glad for you though, as I am sure that it will help you, and it was nice that you gave half to your friend. What a loving and kind thing to do.

Yes the money was a surprise for sure. I would of given my friend half of it no matter what. I just returned from the month job I did here on the islands. I know my pay hasn't been transferred to my account yet but I will get it within 60 days. This is my friend who gave me my baby dog. I know she only works part time as a cashier in a store and doesn't make all that much money on Bingo night and helping out. So this was a surprise to her and just a nice jester to do this one. I figured 1/2 the money would be fine for me until the money was transferred to my account for my work. She too has a family to raise and she works very long hours to support them. So this little bonus was a nice help for her and she was so happy.

@poehere I am sure she was, and it should make you feel good that you helped her out too. I know it would me. Any money that I get is very much appreciated, as it has been tough lately paying bills, but I know this year, will be the best year ever, and with God's help, it will.

@rosekiss I sure hope it is for you. I guess the reason I did this one was because of how kind she is. When I won the money she was so excited for me. She never asked me to split it or give her some of it. I did this because of that reason. Plus for a time she has promised me when her female dogs have babies again she will give me a female for me. These dogs here on the island normally sell for around 600 to 800 dollars depending if they are male or female. So I never paid for my dog and it was a gift to me. So I just gifted her back a surprise to help her out

No I think I will stop here. I remember one night we were walking to the store and I found a 50 dollar bill. My friends decided we needed 50 scratches. In all that mess I won back 10 dollars. So you see keep your winning and go forward. I don't think I want to get greedy because in the end you lose more than you ever gain. This was just lucky and I will keep it as just that. Thanks for the idea.

@poehere That's good because you know where to actually end . I admire you for that . And true , those who wins and keeps on gambling still , ultimately loses what he has won . That's how gambling is .

@SIMPLYD Yes this is sort of how I see things. I see people win and then keep playing and loose it all. In the end they tell the story about how they could of won it back if only you had given them the money they asked for. This was a nice surprise and it came in handy. I work for the gov and just finished a big job. They are rather slow to pay and this will be good until they do. Plus I wanted to help my friend and I gave her half of the winnings. She was so shocked she didn't know what to say.

I talked with my friend for a long time last night as we worked at the Bingo place for her family. She told me to stuff this person off. I think this is how you would say it. I personally was only going to come back and comment until I won the Bingo jackpot last night. I decided after all the crap here yesterday to post something happy and exciting on the site. I did read a lot of stuff about the Lottery but never read anything about Bingo. So I decided to post that I did win last night. Lucky me. I guess a bad day turned out good after all. A new day today and I am here commenting but not posting. Might not post again for sometime but today I posted some good news.

I don't think it's easy to win at this game. I have some friends here that go to all the sames they can. I know they invest a lot of money into this game but they have won some too. So I guess it all works out in the end.

I played a time or two when we were on a cruise and on the last night I won the jackpot which was enough to pay for my trip. But I'm not hooked either.

I have never got hooked on stuff like this. I never think of buying a lottery ticket or even playing the lottery. It was just sort of a joke last night that I bought the one playing card. My friend didn't even have any change with her. We were going to spit the money to buy it. Wow 50 cents each and I paid the ticket of 1 dollars. I guess it isn't a ticket but a playing board. We just grabbed one out of the pile and set it aside.

@JudyEv I guess it was a lucky night for me. I needed a break and wanted to get away from the hassle and problems. it was just a night to relax and help a friend. We were sort of laughing and joking around about only buying one board to play on. We never thought we would win.

@poehere Your luck was really in then. We played a couple of times while we were away just to be sociable, one was in a caravan park, and I had a win or two then as well.

Thank you so much. I did share this with my friend. i went with her to help out for the night. We did play the ticket together. I know the rules for her and her family is that she can't play and win. So it was me who played and won. But in the car on the way home I gave her half. She did help out on this one. Plus she did give me Cheyanne and I never paid her for my dog. She is a good friend of mine.

@allknowing Yes left over money will go to a small vacation and to go and see my family in Moorea. I haven't gone to Moorea in a long time and I need to go back and see my family over there. They were the family that hosted me when I first arrived here in Tahiti.

Well I brought home around 5000 dollars and I gave the other half to my friend. I just got back from working and the Gov won't get around to paying me for around another 6 to 8 weeks. So for now I'll pay the bills and buy food. After I'm paid I'll get some building material and start to do a little remodeling around this house. It is old and we really need to tear parts of it down and rebuild it.

Congrats its always nice to know someone who actually wins. You see these things announced with names and pictures and in the back of your mind you think are they real people or is the outfit running it making names up. Now I can actually say I know someone that actually won. Wow. Enjoy your home once the reno's are completed. Nice memory.

@Bluedoll Thank you so much. I think if you win just a small item or a large item you should rejoice on all of them. I did win a Android tablet 2 years ago in an anniversary drawing for our local store. I was in shock I won this.

What wonderful news, well done. I used to play quite a bit and won £800 once - I suppose that's about $1200, but nowhere near what you won. That certainly was beginner's luck. I'm glad you shared it with your friend.

Thanks. To tell you the truth I am like you. Never played before and never really had a desire to play. I know as kids we had some silly game given to us to play. I don't think we were so interested in this game. I had more fun helping my friend and laughing with her than playing this game. We only played this one board all night.

That certainly makes the day's work seem very worthwhile. personally I abhor bingo. I have played a few games in the past when I used to visit the local Labour club to see my parents, but would never bother otherwise. I know some people who consider a Saturday night at the Bingo hall as a good night out, whereas I would rather spend the evening grave digging.

Yes I do agree with you on this one. I never would go to some Bingo hall to play. I went last night to get away and forget about all this mess. My friend needed some help cooking, serving, and running the cash box. So I just went with her to have some fun and in the end I came home the big night's winner. Now that one was fun.

@poehere (15123)

14 Jan 16
No I am serious. I am not joshing on this one. I was sort of shocked to win the money. 1 million CFP is only 10,000 USD - I only kept 5,000 USD and I gave my friend the other 5,000 USD. She was the one who gave me my dog and we have been good friends here fro so long. For right now the money I just got will be extra. But the money for my last job takes 60 days to arrive in my account. I will use some of t his money to live on and hopefully we can buy some building materials if we have the time to fix up and rebuild part of the house. We are currently tearing down old sections of the house and rebuilding them. This money will be more than enough to get all the rest of the building material. The only problem is when we start we need to finish. So that means we both need to find a good time to do this one.

Yes like me. I took my earning or half of the jackpot and put it in my account yesterday. I think to keep the money so we can finish remolding our home and maybe take a vacation. But to go out and buy a lot of things I do really need won't happen. I won't run out this weekend and play Bingo again. If my friend needs help again I'll go to help her. If we take one ticket her or there and play it will be just for fun and to pass the time.
