Being a mother is part of a leading role: teaching 'do as I say and not as I do'
This statement is all tongue in cheek:
Yesterday My Bowling Team played our first League Matche (4 games) vs our own Club Ladies 1st Division (2) team . . . My youngest daughter "M" is one of the strong players in that team and my eldest daughter 'I' was brought in at the last minutes as the reserve due to one of the fellow bowlers falling ill.
So it was pretty much a MOM versus Girls yesterday and what a struggle it was for me to get over that mindset.
How do you beat the children?
Do mothers do that?
Well it seems I didn't have to - the little Rascals Beat my team fair and square - leaving me with a sorry face of 'mommy remorse' and my hubby feeling very proud of half the families winning efforts in the League Matches. He is so bias!!
Next week we all play out of town opponents - that will be another story - I am sure that some where along the grapevine you will hear the results.
Sunday is here, blessed rain has fallen and the farmers in our region are well on their way with seedlings already 6cm high. Sunflowers and Mielies.
Have a great day.
"The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's Heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on Earth."

well letting kids win all of the time doesn't teach them a good balance of how the world works, I suppose. I am sure when I was much younger dad let me win, but I remember losing some too. As I got older I had to work harder to win, felt like I earned it.
