Oh no! My kitty is super picky about her litterbox! She was about to pee on my blanket!! I caught her in time and pushed her off, then she ran to her litterbox.
"Good kitty!" I said. "Yes that's it, you're really great for listening!" She sniffed around in it; I went back to what I was doing.
Instead of urinating there, she ran back onto my blanket and peed right on it in front of me before I saw what she was doing!!! Bad, bad kitty!!!
Well, her litterbox did have one "piece" of poop in it, so she had gone once during the night and because I hadn't cleaned it yet, she decides to pee on my blanket instead this morning!!
Does anyone have this problem with their kitten? Should I ask the vet to check her for a urinary tract infection? She does this very, very often.

Hehe. That sucks. My cat does the same thing though. He will poop in the litter box and immediately come and pee on my blanket. If I leave any laundry in the floor he will pee on that too. Waiting on him to get big enough to be fixed. I'm pretty sure it's a marking thing.

OhMygawd!!! I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one. I've spent some time on those websites catsite.com and I forget the name of the other one, learning about cat urination outside the litterbox.
I hear that marking is common with boys. My little girl isn't spraying but it might be behavioral ..but then again, I almost have a feeling that she has a UTI too..been meowing like crazy! I have a feeling it's her first heat though...going to bring her to the vet soon.

maybe she doesn't like the type of litter that is in there. Have you tried other types? my cat is very very good, he never eliminates inappropriately.
