So I Woke-up to Find One of My Discussions Completely Gone....?

So I started a thread yesterday and now it's just gone. As far as I know, I followed myLot's community guidelines, so I can't think a reason why it would have been removed. Also, are you not notified if some comment or discussion of yours gets flagged? I didn't receive any kind of notification saying there was a problem. I'm new, so I am still learning how everything works. Has this ever happened to anyone else? [Update 1/18: Thanks to everyone for their response so far! This has been a big help. I did read over myLot's Community Guidelinelines and the Terms before signing up. I re-visisted them as well after posting this discussion. I still have some lingering questions as to the exact reason for the post's removal, even though an explaination has been offered. I go into more detail in a reply below, which can be viewed below under "show more comments" if anyone is interested in helping me out further. That would be awesome! And in the end, it's all good! I'm not upset or anything. I simply wanted to sort the mysery out moving forward. I appreciate people taking the time to respond. Have a good one!] [Update 1/20: Sorry I wasn't able to respond sooner. My internet at home is down at the moment.Thank you for following up with me! I have my questions answered now. Much appreciated!]

Hi, I may be able to help clear things up. Do you remember what the post entailed?

@paigea You are right. It was entitled something like "One Sentence Story Game". I did see it but, as @jolietjake had already left a reason and a link to the Guidelines, I didn't post a response or comment, since I agreed with his post.

I am pretty sure it was a story starter that people could add to. Owlwings? had posted the reason it wouldn't be allowed; but likely @Chani didn't see it.

@paigea That settles it, it's not allowed. Try posting something else and we'll interact, @tarotmore

It happens. Learn from it, check the guidelines, move on - I find that's the best approach.

Sound advice! And yeah, it's all good. I'm not sweating it. I was just confused as to why it suddenly vanished. So once I get clarification on the reasons why it got taken down, it will be all gravy, baby!

Yes, I'm positive it posted. Others on this discussion have been addressing the issue. I imagine glitches can be a real pain. I will take heed. Thanks.

I don't think you are notified if something gets removed. Are you sure it got posted though? Especially if you're on a laptop or a tablet - sometimes you think discussions get posted and they actually don't. Did your discussion contain more than just an image or a line or two of text?

Yeah- it was like 4-5 paragraphs in length, and I know it posted because I got a notification of a response to the discussion. I just didn't read it at the time, figuring I would check in the morning. The plot thickens. I will keep that in mind about posting from mobile devices and laptops. That could definetely save me from some frustration. Thank you!

@JolietJake The 'plot' of anything is never fully resolved. There is always more to a story!

Was it your post about starting a story? Someone did respond and copy and paste the guideline that it broke in the responses.

Yes. If it broke the responses or caused a glich, I feel bad about that. Oops! Thank you for informing me. This seems like a viable explaination as to why my post pulled a Doctor ducking into a phone booth. (Hope that metaphor and reference makes sense!)

The reason for your discussion removal seems to have been explained. It happened to me a few times on old mylot but hasn't happened here and doubt if it will as i'm familiar with the guidelines.

I've had one or two removed before, not sure why though.

When the comment is removed , a notification is needed. So the member can know about it.

That happened to me once. Well, as far as I know, I haven't gone back to check to see if all of my posts are still up. As far as I could tell, my post was just a quick little "Happy Thanksgiving" post, so I guess it wasn't valuable enough. And it was up long enough that I was able to tweet it, but the next day the link in that tweet no longer worked.

Glad I'm not the only one, haha. I tend to save the short-liners for platforms like Twitter, but I imagine it was frustrating nonetheless. Thanks for weighing in!
