Swagbucks has gift cards 'on sale'

I have been waiting to hit the 2,500 mark so I could redeem my Swagbucks for a $25 Cracker Barrel gift card. I noticed that I had 2,600 so I went looking....I had a nice surprise. Yesterday they had Cracker Barrel 'on sale' for 2,200. I saved 300 points by grabbing it yesterday. Today it is back up to 2,500 points. They do have some other 'Food and Beverage' gift cards 'on sale' so if you are looking for something like that you should check it out.

I always get $25 to my paypal. Are the cards electronic? I don't understand how ecards work. Canadians used to get $25 American but now we get $25 Canadian. When they sent that announcement they softened the blow by pointing out the sales of various ecards

They will send an e-mail when the e-card is ready and then I go to Swagbucks and print it out. I've done it before, so it works.

It's great if you can grab a gift card and save some SB for future redemptions. Personally, I prefer paypal cash to gift cards. This way I can use that money for whatever I want or maybe even just put it in my bank account and let it earn some interest. I've not reached my first 2500 SB yet. Thought I'd be much closer to that but past few days I do surveys and I get disqualified from each one. At least I earn 1SB when I get disqualified.

I gave up with surveys - a total waste of time. We like to eat out so it feels like we're getting a free meal using a gift card.

@AbbyGreenhill I've been trying to do surveys today. I started some and it told me I do not qualify or that the survey has hit max capacity and that I got 1SB but my SB amount didn't increase and when I went to check my SB history it didn't show I've been given the 1SB. Why?

I only do paypal for swagbucks now. I use other sites to do the amazon. I was going to get an amazon gift card when it was 2,200 but decided against it. I just cashed out and am already at nearly 500 sb because I looked through my swagbucks inbox for easy offers.

I got over 600 points buying two items on QVC thru the swagbucks button. That helps it add up a lot faster.

Good for you for keeping your eyes open. I prefer to collect the Paypal cash for $25.00, I am almost there again.

I bought a bunch of stuff for Christmas and got swagbucks points and they are just starting to 'clear' - they sure help a lot! If I got paypal it would go in the bank then I'd buy dinner on Disc card - this way the meal seems more free if that makes sense.

@AbbyGreenhill The first time every month you get a $25.00 giftcard for $2,200 SB except Paypal

@AbbyGreenhill We eat out all the time, and my husband doesn't mind paying at all. I use my online money to put into a special savings account. I used $6000 of it to pay for my husband's surprise birthday party last year. All my Amazon credits go to my younger son.

The first $25.00 card that you cash out for should be discounted - they do not do that for Paypal and Amazon. Once you redeem it reverts back to the original price (this discount is only on the $25.00 cards).

I got the first $25 card a year ago - it was full price. The second one was cheaper.

This are good deals. I hope I can also do it with my swagbucks account. But I think I can only go for PayPal.

I'm not doing well on Swagbucks. I guess I am not a culture nut. I watch a video then realize that means that I will get obnoxious e-mails etc. So I quit. I am seriously thinking about quitting the site. I think I have 12 points or some such so far.

I don't watch videos - I earn all my points by searching.

I'm yet to try this site. Swagbucks seems to be genuine as many users write about it here.
