My MyLot Goal...

When I was active in MyLot way back in 2010 or somewhere around there, I had a daily goal for MyLot. That was to write 10 things and to answer 10 post. I took MyLot on almost like a job to be honest. As much as I enjoyed it, I still had to meet my goals. My question to you, concerning MyLot, do you make goals? Or is it just something you do when you have time? How do you see MyLot in your life?

I don't set goals, but I would like to make the payout every month, and I know I can do it as long as I work at it. The hardest part is getting others to want to interact with me, as some do, and some don't. I am sure goinhg to try to make the payout every month, if at all possible.

@Aingeal I can certainly understand that one. We all need to stay focused in here, that is for sure. I know I do better, wehn I stay focused on what I am doing in here.

Thank you for the reply Rosekiss. I completely understand about the payout monthly. I understand about getting others to interact with you. It can be hard. I set the goals because I have a daily todo list. It just helps me to stay focused.

Yes! I am not sure what exactly my goals are, but I like to quit posting on an even number. So if I have 1,500 - I want to post as many as it takes to get to 1525. I'm not sure why this is. My goal is also around 20 posts per day, although it has been far exceeding this in the recent days.

Oh wow, Maezee that is amazing. I usually do things in 8's for some reason. Or 4's. I want to do the 10 post of discussions and 10 post of answering, so we are somewhat the same on the number, however I am not sure how you mix it up. Thank you for your reply, I look forward to seeing more of your post and being able to reply to them as well.

I was never one to make goals on any site. I write a post when I feel the need to. And I am mainly always catching up on all my notifications. I have a ton of them now, but decided that I wanted to go look at the new members list for something new and fresh to read and respond to.

@Aingeal LOL. Well, as long as it works for you, that's great. I have learned for me, every time I make a list or a goal it never pans out. So, I wing it. That seems to work for me.

Inertia, Thank you for your response. I have to have goals to get things done or it just sits. I always have. I work to respond to all my replies as well. If I don't set those goals though, I would be here all day and Jackie and Chris, my current book I am writing, will be drinking coffee until 2017.

@inertia4 I understand. I seem to write out too many things and then done get them done and then get frustrated with myself. So I am working on that. I mean, if someone orders a story or if my publisher has a deadline, that is always first. Then again, I always have my list ready for the next day. haha.

i don't actually set goals and i'm happy with what I can achieve in a day.. sometimes setting up daily goals could lead me to frustration..well, i would be happy if I achieve more than expected in a day but if not, i wouldn't take it too seriously

Katrine, I know what you mean by those daily goals. I get frustrated with them too. I just have a todo list that I work on daily to get things done. That does not mean I get everything done, I do my best though. Thank you for the reply.

@Aingeal me too, i have a mini notebook for my schedules and to do list and some other list on my other online activities.. .. it's still best to have something like that coz it helps us remember things that we really need to get done in a day..

@carexing25 I had to chuckle because I am so happy I am not the only one who does that. I have my list right beside me, written out with a goal list beside it to add to the daily list of things to get done. If I don't get all my goals done, it goes to the next day. Then as I think of things I add to the goal list. Oh thank you so much, needed that.

MyLot is something I do when I have time. I babysit a munchkin during the day (3-5 days a week) and then work on my freelance writing orders, so I haven't set any goals for MyLot.

It fulfills my need/compulsion to write every day, but I am one of those mercenaries who want to be paid, even if just pennies. How many times have you heard "content is king"? And today I read a blog that predicts the need for content will increase in 2016. Why should it be provided free to websites? But I haven't been around long enough to set daily goals, still learning mylot. I am doing a little of this and that since the New Year. My other sites haven't had a lot of orders to choose from. I like how everyone talks easily about money here. At webanswers it was verboten.

Sherrye, I understand about the pay. I won't write for websites for free. So I know very well what you are saying. I have never heard about webanswers.
