Have you ever microwaved a chocolate bar?

Some people may think I am strange for doing this, but sometimes if I feel like a quick warm chocolate dessert I just get a nutty chocolate bar and heat it in the microwave for a few seconds.
The result is quite nice as the chocolate is nice and gooey and warm. It helps warm me up during the cold winter seasons!
Have you ever tried it before?

Only reason we might melt chocolate in the microwave is for baking. I've never thought to do it just for a nice treat. Might have to try that next time I have chocolate.

@gudheart My favorite chocolate has rice in it, not so sure it would be good for microwaving. Might try it anyway.

No. I do like a fruit cup called Fruit Crisp. It's apple and cinnamon, and I heat it up for 30 seconds and it's good.

Not a chocolate bar but i'll tell you one of mine. You get the Swiss Cake Rolls you can get at the grocery store. Microwave for about 4-6 seconds. You just want it to slightly melt on the outside. The flavor is completely different when you do this and they are amazing. The cream inside is runny and taste great. Just be careful not to microwave more than 5-6 seconds are youll have a complete mess and maybe burn yourself.

I've never tried microwaving a chocolate bar, though I have melted chocolate in a microwave (for making a chocolate frosting and also a chocolate sauce for spiced pears).
There are one or two weird things I have tried in the microwave. Cutting a grape nearly in half (all but a small piece of skin) and placing the halves cut face down on a plate produces a spectacular spark where the small piece of skin is. Microwaving an old CD can also produce some interesting patterns on the silver surface.
There are some interesting (and useful) single person meals which can be made in a mug, too. A chicken drumstick, some onion, leek and carrot in a mug makes a tasty and filling quick lunch for one (and also intrigues one's office mates with its delicious aroma!) and just a few simple ingredients (brownie mix from a packet plus some milk) can produce an instant cake-in-a-mug dessert.in a minute or so.

No I have never done this although it does sound delicious. My sister melted some chocolate in a burner type thing with a candle underneath and we dipped fruit in it. It was delicious.
