Down here in the South - we fry everything! And I do mean EVERYTHING!
My daughters have been begging me to get out the Fry Daddy and have a treat.
So we will do just that this weekend. We will eat fried food until our arteries scream!
Don't worry - we only do this like once a year! And we usually make ourselves sick!
On the menu this weekend is:
Fried Pickles
Fried Corn
Fried Eggplant
Fried Greenbeans
Fried Cheese
Fried Green Tomatos
Fried Twinkies
Fried Oreos
And my favorite - a fried Monte Crisco Sandwich.
What kind of crazy things do you like fried?

I can't think of any I like as such but when I was in scotland I had deep fried haggis, pizza and mars bars...not together though.
They deep fry quite a bit in scotland
Just remembered I like the deep fried rice balls with cheese in the middle although I can't recall the name, think theyre italian.

We call them "Bull's Balls", although I am not sure that is the actual name of them. It is pretty funny, though, because actual fried bull's balls are called "Rocky Mountain Oysters".

@Angelee_27 haggis is a very very famous scottish dish...it's probably their national dish.
It's way more tasty than it sounds

Have you made donuts at home? I take a can of biscuits, cut a hole in the middle of each one, then fry them in a skillet about half full of hot oil. Turn until brown, then drain on paper towels. Roll in sugar while warm. Scrumptious!

I have not made donuts at home. We usually fry up beignets.
I may have to try the donuts with the canned dough.

@1creekgirl @kellyr634 Yea, what is a Monte Crisco Sandwich? I've never heard of that before. Also curious to how you deep-fry any sandwich, never had one deep-fried.

Basically we make a ham and cheese sandwich, cut it into fourths and put in toothpicks to hold together. Then we double batter like everything else and fry it. Once it comes out we remove the toothpicks and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
The combination of sweet and salty is to die for!

I tried a deep-fried cookie once... it was devilishly delicious, but my stomach gave me hell for it about 30 minutes later.
I like fried vegetables like okra, squash, zucchini, pickles, green tomatoes, green beans, and such though. Yummy!

Apart from haggis, which may be a bit hard to get hold of in some areas of the US, you should give arancini a try as they're really nice and very easy to make.
