Who is hurting the worst?

I have a cousin out in west Texas who has been the oil field support business for about 35 years now. He is on Facebook all the time, usually posting about the need for oil prices to increase.Yesterday,I noticed he had a post referring to the WalMart store closures. In the post, it states that due to the oil prices dropping so drastically, one million employees have been laid of, I am not certain if it is world wide, or just the US. I feel great sympathy for the people working in the oil industry, but,I can't share that compassion for there CEOs , who have gouged the American public for so many years.Perhaps with the oil industry feeling the crunch, some of the politicians with their fingers too deep in the pie will also learn what it feels like to squeezed too tight.

That is so sad. Especially when you look at the family aspect of the situation.

@meltean59 It is really difficult for them . . as oil workers are the highest paid in Canada.

There has to be an answer. If not, we are headed for some serious problems.

@Morleyhunt I think at the rate we are going, if we don't get things turned arouned, we may actually experience a full blown depression.
