We had queso for supper

We had company for 6 days and during that time I cooked almost everyday. My friend left today to go on to Fort Lauderdale and now it is just hubs and me. We had leftover baked macaroni and cheese for lunch and for dinner I made queso and we had dip and corn chips. It seems really quiet here now that it is just the two of us again. Also it was cold out so we just hunkered down and didn't really do very much. I am planning to be much more active tomorrow. Are you planning anything interesting for tomorrow?

We like to go out every day if we can, it keeps it from getting boring.

@BelleStarr I know what you mean, I often make it to the local store which isn't far away if I'm staying in all day. I guess it just breaks it up a little but I'm never bored, way too much to do lol.

Lunch and your dinner (queso) sounds delicious! I had burgers from Red Robins tonight! Tomorrow, I will be running some errands and grocery shopping.

I do like the Red Robin Bonsai burger but it is not a place we frequent often as hubs doesn't care for their burgers and service at our local one is terrible.

Now you have me quite confused. I am familiar with the word Queso, which is simply the Spanish for Cheese. Obviously you must be referring to some cheese based dish that has been appended the same name, but I have no idea what it could be.

@BelleStarr It must be a little confusing for Spanish speaking Americans.

@Asylum lol no doubt but we never let a little thing like that bother us when it comes to butchering a language.

Ahhh you know Americans, we only speak English or our own version of it. Queso in America is yellow cheese product with salsa or spicy tomatoes added and then heated in the microwave. It is used as a dip with corn chips. lol

I'm overdue on those bills too, Patsie, but I may only be able to manage the past due amount this week and hope to pay the remainder before the tenth of February.

That's a bit unfair for it to be cold there isn't it? You travelled a long way to avoid it, but I suppose it's still warmer than Connecticut? Enjoy the rest of your stay.

Hey Isabelle, you're going to have to tell me how you have queso- I have something called quesodillas for hubby and I and it's basically one tortilla in the pan topped with shredded cheese, sliced peppers, jalapeno peppers, sliced green onions and cooked chicken slices- then you top it with the other tortilla and let it all melt together. Tell me what's involved in a queso dinner. Thanks - I love Mexican food!

@BelleStarr Ilove Velveeta cheese- my mom used to use it for her mac n' cheese- so then what? Do you just mix it together and eat it with bread or whatever?

We've been out fencing again today. A friend came with us so, with three, we were able to roll up a lot of burnt fencing. We plan on going again tomorrow although at the moment we are both very tired. I've been soaking in a hot bath and nearly went to sleep.

@BelleStarr I rarely have a bath nowadays as I can't wash my hair in the bath. But I must admit I enjoyed the soak yesterday. We're off again in a minute. I might wash my hair in the shower tonight then hop in the bath.
