My daughter seeked permission from her father.

Well my cousins daughter insisting my daughter to stay at her house on weekend. She has been forcing here to stay for quite long. Today she told my daughter that she will be taking her along at her house from school. I finally permitted her for her stay. But I asked her to seek permission from her dad. So a moment ago her dad permitted too. So they will be enjoying their weekend collectively.

I did the same when I was a kid, I always asked permission to my father.

Oh, I remember it was so much fun to stay at a friends house when I was young but permission is always a good thing to get.
