Why people are crazy of dangerous selfies?

There's a trend rapidly growing -- across the globe -- to take selfies at unsafe areas. Publishing the selfies instantly in Social Media has become a compulsive act -- to some extent, a sort of addiction -- in the life some while it's taking the life of others while clicking their own photo through their smartphones.
Selfie deaths are increasing all over the world. Why do people become so crazy to take the killing selfies? It may appear to be a fun, but it's dangerous. Falling from the buildings, transports, trains, and boats are the results we find because of this epidemic craziness.
Selfie lovers are more interested in publicity rather than having fun. Isn't it so?

I agree with you. People nowadays, mostly teens, are crazy for taking too much unnecessary selfies that could endanger their lives and the people around them. I'm not saying taking selfies is bad, as it actually helps you be more confident in yourself, but going too far as to get a dangerous selfie is never worth it.
I think, basically, these people who take selfies to the extreme crave instant adulation and attention. It's not nice though. I hope these people distinguish when to take selfies and when they take it to the extreme. It's so sad to see potential go to waste. Kudos~!

Overboard, indulgence, thrills and so on are some of the terms I can think of as these individuals have let their pursuit of individualism and uniqueness get the better of their common sense and moderation on personal safety.
Like to the saying about how people will just go about doing everything even when it is very dangerous to their well being or life itself.
