Last August we were in Leipzig visiting a friend. We were travelling in a motor-home. We then moved on to his home town, Premnitz and stayed several nights there. We visited a garden exhibition and enjoyed looking at the displays there. We loved the cubby houses made from big barrels. The 'clothing' was made from grasses. We also sampled several different varieties of mushrooms and climbed a lookout near the river. Can you see the photo of water in a tube? By winding as handle as fast as possible you could create a vortex effect in the tube.

@JudyEv Yes they were. I was surprised to see one I thought only grew in Hawaii or tropical climates - the big leaf one with the tongue coming up. Best way to describe it since I can't remember the name or what that tongue is really called.

I love your youtube slide shows. I have been to Europe several times, but now I want to go back. I can see that there are a ton of wonderful places that we have never seen.

@JudyEv - Yes, that is even true when I travel around the United States. Every time I tell someone I went somewhere, someone comes along and says, "but did you see this ...?" The world is a big place!

I liked the hydrangeas in the grass meadow affair.

Some lovely photos there Judy. Some of the flowers grow wild in Europe. Some of them were not native to Europe. Malu has some wonderful photos of flower festivals from around Germany. One such is the pumpkin festival i think it was.
