Thank goodness! No more snow. The official count is 10 inches of snow at the Richmond airport. It seemed like much more. I'm just glad it stopped at last. The wind is kicking up though.. Tomorrow sunshine is promised and I certainly hope so.
By the.way, my son got back safely from the store. He saw five vehicles in the ditch, he said.

Only ten inches? That's a mere dusting. We have about two feet, I'll have you know, and are proud of it!

I heard that PA was getting a lot of snow. And WV. That's where I was born, in WV. I think we got more snow here South of Richmond than they did at the Richmond airport which is NE of where I live. I didn't get out there and measure it but it has to be more than ten inches.
I hope you are safe in PA. Be careful, especially if you have to shovel any snow.

Glad your son is safely home. My sister lives in Va, but I've not talked with her to see how they fared yet. I have family in PA too. I'd not want to see that large a dumping of snow on any state or people.

@IreneVincent Won't quick melting cause a lot of flooding? I know my sister has that problem already some springs. After that much snow, I'd think a slower melt would be better, unless it's supposed to be quite sunny and warm too, then maybe a lot will evaporate into the clouds.

Yes, now my daughter got stuck in her driveway and ours. But, someone helped her out in both cases. A lot of the snow has melted creating slush everywhere. The weekend forecast is for much warmer weather so more melting will follow. I'm glad.
My son and his wife have been going to work the last two days, but the schools have not opened yet. I think they might have a two-hour delay tomorrow, but there are a lot of rural roads that have not been cleared. Our road is OK and my grandson can walk to school because it's just across the road. from our driveway.

It has been ridiculous here in Virginia. I'm just so thankful that the snow finally stopped. Now we have to clean everything up. The vehicles are buried and I can't even open the storm door on my front door. I fed the little birds all afternoon as it continued to snow right up until it got dark.

How is your water situation? I've been following the news on that. Yikes! I can't imagine how they let that happen.
