When it comes to getting blood tests done,I us ually say bloodwork but one my lotter asked what the hell is blood work, so now I say blood tests I do put them off. Also i keep putting off doctors appts.. I know that both are important to do. I just wish I had some way of making myself do these in a more timely manner,
When it comes to my health I realize its not smart to procrastinate so why am
I alw ys putting this off?I do have to pay for round trips for both procedures but I save money to do this then I still put it off. Why? I need to stop this but I still keep doing it.

Might I suggest that you recognise that the results will be what they will be and putting them off won't change anything. So book them up well in advance and get on with it. If something's going wrong, the sooner you know, the sooner you can fix it.

I procrastinated on getting my blood work done for my physical. Fortunately the doctor accepted the blood work I had done when I went to the emergency room a couple of months prior to the appointment.

@Hatley mine told me that my tests came back good so I didn't need to have another one until next year. I was happy for that as I do not like needles.

Something you have probably done for so long you have forgotten why or when it started. Humans have things so innate in their psyche who is to say why. I would start playing a game with yourself. If you have a nice thing going on around the time you have this blood tests done I would just not let you do it until the tests are done. Something like that.

@Hatley wow, that is costly Patsie. We have a bus that costs a lot less to travel about town. However, we are a very small community.

Booking health-care appointments with a great deal of anticipation is a great advice. That helps you have that in mind as something really important to carry out. It is hard to put myself in your shoes and advise you in the best manner possible because I don't tend to procrastinate on my health. If you are a diabetic, you should always have your blood tests up to date. Your health is a priority.

I can relate with you! I tend to put off doctor appointments and blood tests too. I get too worried and scared of the results plus I dislike needles.

@Hatley I have had a few bad occasions with getting my blood drawn. I had an inexperience person draw blood and left me bruising a few days later as they couldn't find my veins properly.
