What Next After Death?

I was at a friend mum's burial last week. At the time the coffin was lowered into the grave a strong thought engulfed my whole being! i asked myself the question repeatedly but never seemed to get a befitting answer to my inner quest. What becomes of man after death? Is there life after death? Where does the soul go to? Will i ever see this person again as some religion professed? Its painful to lose a love one but what is more uncertain to me is what becomes of the person after the breath is gone!

@Bestviews Ah ok,so this is the reason why you are in this kind of situation now. If your boyfriend shares the same belief is as yours, I am sorry to tell you that you will no longer see him at all. Just read the answer of @NewFangled because that exactly is the truth.

Depends on who you ask. If it's someone like me and people I have interacted with, I will say that you stand a great chance of being reincarnated. Unfortunately the chances of meeting someone you knew before is really difficult. I have been searching for my girlfriend from my first life all this current life and if she is here, she could be a man, could be old, could be very young, on the other side of the world, or not reborn in this time. It's frustrating, but meeting up again is difficult. In most cases you probably won't even remember.
As for the Christian religions, they are there to scare people into accepting their words. They claim to be of love, but it's all fear. If they say you are going to hell, well, that's fine. The truth was perverted a long time ago to make you more afraid. This world is the hell of the bible. If people who didn't go to heaven came back here, why would they worry? So it was given an evil face and eternal torment (of course, living is torment even if you are happy, so it's kind of true). Reincarnation was once taught by all the big religions, but they don't any more. And who can verify this? Certainly no new-soul in that religion!

This issue will remain an enigma though various faiths have own views. I believe there will be justice later and there is a soul. Then if there is life hereafter, where were we before coming here? Since no one has has come back to tell the tale there is always a question mark about what happens though my inner knowing tells me of further stint ahead - siva
