I must admit that I don't like veggie stuff. My aunt was vegetarian and now my dad. The only thing I tried that's veggie, without noticing, hot dogs and even if I knew what I was eating, burgers. Oh yea and Chinese food, they are not definitely my favorite but I'll eat them when necessary like going to eat with my aunt and my parents get invited and ask me if I want to go.

I have been vegetarian for just over 14 years.....It's great! But it's definitely difficult to start. Once you start, and keep it going for a while, pretty soon over a decade goes by in a flash....Clearly, lol. I remember it being very difficult at first - back in 2002 when I started - to not eat meat. Everyone around me ate meat, and most stores and restaurants didn't cater to vegetarians and vegans like they do these days. These days it's much easier to go out and still be able to eat something - almost all restaurants, at least in Minnesota, have several vegetarian options - which is amazing! I remember I used to have to eat little side salads everywhere I went (I did lose a lot of weight that way, so that was good). The hardest thing for me to give up was bacon and steak - two of my favorite meats - but now I don't miss them at all. If you can't do it, you can't do it though. At least you are staying away from the red meat which is supposedly the worst for you.
