A very sorrowful mystery

You might have noticed my absence for a few days since Sunday, my fellow mylotters and friends. Here is a very sorrowful mystery:
Last Monday, when I drove home, my son informed me that the internet connection suddenly stopped for no apparent reason. I told him that I will call the service provider, which I did before I changed my uniform to house clothes. I was given a reference number, and was instructed to call back later that day. 6PM, I called back but I got the automated response that all agents are busy talking to other complainants so I must be patient in waiting for my chance to talk to them again”.
I and my son kept on trying to connect, to no avail. Tuesday came, and I constantly texted my son if the internet was back. The response was,” Mama, tomorrow, they said it will be back”. I could not make a discussion for this site beforehand because I do not know when I will be able to post it.
This morning (Wednesday is my off day), I switched on the Wi-Fi and I noticed the flickering orange light. I immediately checked my FB account on tablet, and I shouted with glee to note that the net is back. I opened MyLot on tablet too and I was able to gain access on my account.
The sorrowful mystery is now solved. So, how are you all, my friends? How was the site for the past 2 days?

@SIMPLYD halla, me too, my lady. during those times that the net was out, I could still play the soda, and the 2 games I installed in my phone. But now that the wi-fi is working again, I have not yet "lifted my behind" from the sofa because I am so engrossed mylotting. that is the benefit of having Wi-Fi even in office.

@ridingbet ...Having known it and experienced it I don't think I could. I might be able to cut down on usage but that is about all.

@celticeagle I don't know how I ever grew up and lived with internet. I think my grandchildren are so lucky to be growing up in the world of technology

we are updated with our monthly payment, and we all wonder why we are not given notice even through the television, why the net gets off without our knowledge

the historic PLDT had a system maintenance and upgrade 'daw', hija. I hope it will run smoothly after the 3 day ordeal. My son is smiling now

yes, my friend. Missing the site for just several hours can be annoying especially if one is a computer-and internet-addict. glad too you are back after the 9-day trip.

Oh, probably just another Network Restoration issue, it happens. Sometimes I tend to just wait, they would tell you that once you mentioned your location. but if the site in my area was fine, that's the moment were i call for a technician. I didn't notice much you weren't around, but Im glad your fine.

PLDT is having these outages from one place to another. When we had our outage for 3 days, our neighbors had internet. yesterday, they were the ones who did not have internet while we had, until now

@just4him I also would like to stay long while in the computer, but the household chores keep me away, just like few hours ago. I had to groom the dogs after my son bathed them, and then I had to cook rice and wash the dishes.

@nottoooldtowrite i made a 40-item question, and the highest so far has the score of 28, the lowest at 19. I think they had jitters because they thought the questions were easy, but I am noted to give difficult questions, whether quiz or longer.

the outage was the whole of my city, my friend, so there was no use checking my account here in any internet cafes.

Oh maybe your Internet Service Provider was doing some maintenance. You have to call them to ask for rebate for the days you got no connection.

I didn't have internet for a week one time, because of some power damage, I thought I would miss it, but I did alright. I got other things done, that I had been putting off.

me too, I can stay 'alive' without the net. I have some things to do though with the net, and besides, the disruption came without any notice, and that made me and my son get irked with our ISP.

it was really a mystery why our internet went down for 2 days. Now, my sister told me that our neighbor, yes, just a stone's throw away, do not have internet connection too. our neighbor at the back had the outage like us last Monday.
