My good neighbor Mr. Desai is a kind hearted person. I first met him in the park while doing morning walk. In a very few days we became good friends. Mr. Desai is not only a good natured person, but involve in various types of social activities as well. No one in his way will move ahead without greeting him. The pathetic side of his life that their only son died in his early youth due to a fatal accident and after that Mrs. Desai suffered from a severe cerebral stroke and remained bedridden. Mr. Desai never complain to anyone about this pathetic side, but look after his wife with huge patience. I asked him one day with some hesitation “How can it be possible for you to remain calm and composed in this manner?” The answer was not only amazing but brought tears to my eyes. He said that to serve the needy people and underprivileged with a laughing face can solve many problems and helped him to overcome his own grief. That day while sitting in my balcony I realized life has another meaning and perhaps god has sent people like Mr. Desai to fulfil that.

Helping others with a smile and keeping us busy are the ways to make us happy inside. Life is cruel to some people, but they survive with their gut and determination.

He's a very wise man. Thinking of others helps us to forget ourselves.
