What's the right motive of writing?

Writing is the work which comes as a result of persistent and prevailing passion or a drive. Some may start writing to gain little benefits while a few are aware of the positive impacts that they're going to make on the society even after their demise. To define the flamboyant result of writing, I'd like to mention a quote by Stephen King: writing isn't about making money, getting famous, getting dates, getting laid, or making friends. In the end, it's enriching the lives of those who will read your work, and enriching your own life as well.

whatever you do whether its acting, singing, sports and even writing you do it first for money then fame and then passion or whatever you want. When you will not get earned all the passion and fame will go off.

Yes, we have to earn by using the talents -- whatever we have. But, there're a few professions in this world which are highly noble and they help others. Even writings continue to help others beyond the horizon of time.

@anu5588 Exactly true to certain extent. But, Bloggers earn a lot in these days. One has to have his own blog and should promote how to promote it through social media. Or else, the writer has to write, as an expert, for magazines or books. The talented writers can become ghost writer and earn. Those who publish their own e-books continue to earn much. Unless the freelance writers know the earning strategy it's difficult for them to earn much. Freelance journalists also have good potential to earn. Editing is also an excellent job.

Although I don't like Stephen King's books, I like his non-fiction writings.

He is just a natural born writer. Sometimes I'm jealous. His book on writing is excellent.
