Anybody using your old Bubblews posts here on myLot?

Unlike a lot of people, I never considered my Bubblews posts throw-aways. I had more than 700 of them, and I've kept every one. And many of them are reusable here. I just make sure they have been de-indexed by Google before I recycle them.
Of course there are some that were specific to Bubblews, and some that were keyed to some current event that has passed. But even these, although they can't be directly transferred, may trigger an idea that I can use here. So I consider my old Bubblews posts to still have value.
What about you?

I never considered my Bubblews posts throw-aways either. I value all my work. I also kept a backup of all my posts. I'm glad I did because Bubblews closed without giving anyone a warning. Had I not backed up my work, I would've lost it all.
But anyway, to answer your question, no I don't post them here. I feel like mylot is different from Bubblews. It's like a forum for discussion and not a blog-like site like Bubblews was. My old Bubblews post would be out of place here.

I backed up some of my earlier work in B but never kept up. I wish I did. You are well organized!

@RonElFran Actually after mylot changed their layout recently, it reminds me more of Bubblews... or at least a blogging site. It's like of a "forum" to me. I might reconsider and start posting some blog-like entries on here.

@kataomoi As I mentioned to @suziecat7, I have been looking at myLot and Bubblews as being about the same. It's interesting to see that others see that differently. I'll have to think some more about that.

I lost a lot of mine in a computer crash. However, I would not hesitate to write new posts about the same subjects. I am sure that they will be different when rewritten. I wrote some good stuff and resent losing it on a site like Bubblews.

@akalinus As I mention in my reply above to @acelawrites, you may still be able tor retrieve your Bubblews posts. You might want to give it a try.

I lost all my stories on bubblews. I was not able to keep a copy of my work there but I'm not worried because I know I can re write them again in here. I may not have secured a back up copy but everything is still in my head

@RonElFran makes our lives easier I manage to find a few of my stories from bubblews in my wikinut account. Saved a copy and deleted my account from there so if I do plan to repost it here there will be no other copies of it online

The thing I like about reusing instead of rewriting is it just takes less time and effort. With my writing style, I find I can update and repost a lot faster than writing from scratch.

I've used one or two. Most had not been saved, or were saved to an old computer I can't access any longer.

After being very reluctant to do so, I have taken to saving anything I want to keep in the cloud. That gives me confidence I won't lose it because of a failing disk drive.

@RonElFran I just recently found a few more of my Bubblews posts, and most of the photos I used.

I haven't tried, and I did not save some of my works there. Can we still retrieve it?

I haven't reused any of my Bubbles here but have adapted and expanded on them for other venues. Here it is mostly conversational on my part.

That's interesting, @suziecat7. I view Bubblews and myLot as pretty much equivalent as far as the kinds of posts I make, so a lot of my Bubblews stuff is directly transferable.

I was thinking of using my old Bubblews post on Persona Paper and I had managed to repost some of them but recently, PP had announced that it is closing down some time in the future. I guess I won't be using my old Bubblews post over there. It's possible for me to use them here but after repurposing them to suit the audience on myLot.

Some of the topics I will repeat here. Can't see any reason not to discuss the same things here.

Now that Persona Paper is gone, myLot seems about the only place some of those old Bubblews posts could find a home.

I think myLot is more for blog-type posts than "articles."

@RonElFran It took me three hours to write one at other sites but here it is about half an hour. I like both, but it is less strenuous here for sure - siva

Maybe. But, no for me. I always post new topic here. I think it is not interesting for me re-post my article from bubblews.

My thought is that I have a new audience here, most of whom never saw my posts on Bubblews. So to them, those posts are fresh.

I was on bubblews for awhile but never liked it. I went over to the site or tried to yesterday and got a message they were gone. I didn't write many post there but to answer your question no I don't have them so wont be reusing them here.
