Seafood

I am a big fan of seafood and I enjoy them raw or cooked. The key to good seafood is their freshness. I once had a very nasty case of food poisoning from eating crayfish but that hasn't deterred me from consuming seafood. I adore scallop, fish, crab, lobster, oyster and calamari prepared in various ways. Here we tend to stir fry them with various sauces or ingredients. But a simple squeeze of lemon and light soy sauce does just as well for me. Photo: Plate of fresh seafood I had at a market

I don't think I could eat raw seafood because I would be afraid of food poisoning, but I do enjoy some seafood, especially fried though! Your platter of seafood is beautiful, you buy that from the market?

I too love sea food. Basically I eat king fish more, because it gives a rich delicious taste, I love to eat fish fry rather than curry. Prawn is also a good sea food, which gives good taste. Prawn fry gives good taste. Sea food gives us good health, low cholesterol and good proteins. That's why I prefer seafood a lot.

I really enjoy eating seafood. They taste so fresh and it is different than other meats. Here we like to steam the seafood because if they are not fresh seafood, it can not be delicious.

You and I would get on well. I eat a lot of seafood. Mussels, clams, prawns, calamari, fresh fish, salmon, and oysters and scallops when I can afford them.

Yes, you've got company. I am also a seafood friend as well. However, many seafood in Hong Kong are being polluted already. The seafood from mainland China is even worse. it is difficult to enjoy good seafood in Hong Kong and seafood are so expensive as well. That's why I always enjoy the seafood and cooking in your country and I've been there more than 5 times already. but buying a air ticket and book a hotel are more expensive to have good seafood in Hong Kong. But for Singapore, it is worth it. I am looking forward to visit your country someday in the future again. I like Singapore very much.

@Ladypeace Yes, Singapore is not just good for seafood. Actually good for all kinds of food. The city is clean and people are being so nice when compare with people in Hong kong. At least no bad language is allowed in your country. Clean and warn feeling at all times . Especially you don't have to worry about any cold whether. I enjoy everything in Singapore.

Wow, so you've been out and about! Thank you for putting in those nice words about us. Yes, seafood can be so expensive that we aren't getting enough of it. I've heard HK has amazing food, but I was unaware of the polluted seafood. I will try and visit one day to gobble up all the great stuff the place has to offer.

I'm leery of eating raw seafood. I do love most seafood. There's some I've never tried, or will try - octopus and squid are some that I will never try.

I guess it's the texture that puts you off? Because they are really chewy when cooked.

My husband grew up where he could get very fresh sea food. We live in the middle of the US and he says there is no really fresh sea food available here. We enjoy it from time to time when we visit his family.
