My eyes are extremely blurry this evening!

This evening my eyes have been very bothersome. I am not quite sure why though because I have been well rested throughout the day. It is probably my habit of staying up late and staring at my phone under my sheets is catching up to me! I have been squinting for a hour now on myLot. Even my usual remedy of washing my eyes with baby shampoo for a refreshment isn't working. I guess today, I will be sleeping early without watching any YouTube or online browsing in bed. And, some carrot juice tomorrow for my eyes!

baby shampoo to clean out the eyes? I just take a wet washcloth as cold as I can get it and clean my eyes. Perhaps you should invest in a cheap pair of anti glare glasses to help with the strain?

Yes! Baby shampoo works wonders! It's very refreshing and recommended to wash your eyes with baby shampoo from my dads Optometrist and doctor. Lol. I just went to the Optometrist and she said my vision is nearly perfect, just a little blurry for further distance or whichever the term is for that. She doesn't recommend glasses yet, but I don't know maybe it was just one of the days!

Tricks I learned along the way: Blink..when engrossed online people tend to forget to do it. Also, using a computer at night - make sure there is a light on in the room...I'm not sure why but it makes a difference for me.

I have a bright white light above me, but I may forget to have blinking. Thank you for the tips! My eyes are now better from a good nights sleep!

It sounds as if your eyes need some rest. This can happen when we're not exposed to enough light or staying up too late. I hope your blurry vision gets better real soon.

Maybe instead of using your phone, which sounds very bad for your eyes, you use a regular laptop or desktop computer and save your eyes.

After I shut off my laptop, I will in bed with my phone. It's a bad habit that I have. I really need to just learn to sleep instead.

You shouldnt be using the phone while its dark, or atleast decrease the brightness to the minimum. Over usage cause me the same. Take some rest and ypull be fine. I also feel something like that just after a bath. But it passes after sometime.

Occasionally after a bath if I rub my eyes or wash my face ~ I would get my eyes blurry too! Sometimes a bubble effect or feeling. I think it may have been the brightness too high. Thank you, after a nice sleep my eyes now feel better.

Give your eyes a break when they get blurry.

If your eyes are blurry you should use tear drops, of course shampoo does not help, because it dries your eyes even more. Staring at a screen dries our eyes.

Really? My dad's doctor and Optometrist recommended baby shampoo, even after he had eye surgery. It works for me but I'm not sure what was wrong with my eyes last night (never happened to me before). But I will keep eye drops on handy also, thank you!!

@infatuatedbby It's good to clean the eyes, but not if you have dry eyes. I have dry eyes and staring at the screen worsens my condition. I have to use special drops inside the eyes.
