I grew up around Yoga, as my mother has been a teacher for about 30 years. I didn't get much into it myself, but I could definitely see the benefits in her students.
• Hatha Yoga: This is what most people think of when they hear "yoga." Consists of stretching and deep relaxation.
• Raja Yoga: The study of the mind and spiritual belief systems of (usually) Hinduism.
• Karma Yoga: The act of spending time doing something for others. Selfless service is intended to move the balance of your Karma (if you believe in it) towards good. If you don't believe in it, Karma Yoga can be practiced as a volunteer for benefits of experience, connections, etc.
• Other kinds of yoga as well. If you're interested, research it further.
