Any tips on trying to stay calm?

I woke up today in a foul mood.
I get like that, I just open my eyes and immediately become grumpy.
I can feel it in my bones that today is going to be one of "those days", where the universe conspires against me.
Indeed, it was. I got woken up 3 times this morning in the wee hours by the accursed fire alarm. No doubt someone has been smoking under it again!
Then I was promptly notified that my volunteering security check is taking longer, due to the fact I've lived as an expat in a few countries.
Then I was told they'd screwed up my flight to Germany, more chat needed with the airline.
The website I tried to book my hotels has just charged me 4 times for a single booking
Finally, my bank vigilantly decided to lock down my account, as it noticed all these repeated bookings
All of this occurred within 6 hours of me opening my eyes.
Deep breath.. any other tips on staying calm? Do you also get days like this?

I'm sorry you have had such a bad morning. When things go wrong for me like that I usually pray and then sing a lot. I also come here to vent which helps too. I hope your day gets better!

Thanks thanks! I have tried listen to music, it does help! Venting here defo helps too.
Also tried my Ma's "be thankful" when things go wrong approach.. e.g am grateful my bank is so vigilant, I'd rather they lock me out than having fraud committed.
The only thing I guess I've yet to sort out is the security thing

You're right, one thing at a time definitely reduces the focus and getting things done removes stress

Having a break to clear my mind definitely helps! shame about the weather I couldn't go out walking. But I did get my laundry etc done and felt better for it

Yep! That's what smoking supposedly help to reduce stress. It's not the smoke, it's the long breathe
