Why do people prefer silver over gray and yellow over gold?

Hi there ! ^_^ It's been awhile since I've posted a discussion. I do not understand why some people view gray as depressing and silver as the better one nor do I see why people see gold loads better than yellow. To me, gray is the color of compromise, since its view is not just black or white. Yellow is the bright morning and in my opinion, gold is just a glossier version of this.
I feel like yellow is content with what it is while gold felt like it needed to be a lot more shiny or maybe that's just me. What do you fellow Mylotters think?

Yes gray tends be viewed as a depressing color. But not silver. In the Bible both silver and gray refer to the wisdom of the aged and it's actually considered respectful as we are taught to honor the gray head or the silver haired. I don't really have a preference but when it comes to crayon, I do like the gold color better.

I do not care for any of these colours over the other. Guess silver and gold represent money and wealth
