Yesterday my husband answered the door to the post man, and signed for a recorded delivery. He was excited as he thought it was a car part, but when he opened the sizeable box (about the size of a DVD box but about an inch deep) it contained 4 chocolates, very well wrapped in loads of loose foam pellets.
The box was addressed to me, but that doesn't narrow it down as our eBay account is in my name so all parcels come addressed to me.
The chocolates were some kind of sample as they were wrapped in twos in plastic with the ingredients on the back. But there was nothing to suggest which company sent them, and I've no memory of filling out a form to ask for them.
But I must have ....

That aspect never even occurred to me , it turns out they were from thorntons, they sent me an email about 5 days later asking if I liked them.

@Dragonairy1 Oh right. I had some Thorntons chocolates given to me a couple of years ago, fancy ones. It didn't look as if there were any in there that I liked so I took them back to the shop to see if I could choose something else.
Though they were still in their box with the cellophane unbreached they wouldn't exchange them. They said they couldn't take the risk of them being 'doctored'.

@jaboUK that's a bit strange, I would have thought most shops would have exchanged them.

@Dragonairy1 That's great. I'm glad you didn't have to turf them out.

Thats cool and suspicious. Who would send you chocolates if you dont ask for them? Is there any chance that its a gift from someone? Its little bit weird to send chocolates as gift in mail though. So most probably it should be some samples.

I think we call it a container ship, I seem to think a barge is smaller although I'm not positive

Well, if you don't want them ... :D {it'll just be a sample from something you filled in a year or two ago!}

That's nice to receive a box of chocolates. But sort of suspicious if there isn't any name or company. I don't think I'd be eating them though - have you tried?
