An Expensive Kind of Vinegar

Today , my officemate showed me her ordered Bragg’s Apple cider vinegar . She said there are no supermarket here yet that offers it , so when an officemate was selling it as ordered from her sister maybe from Manila or abroad , she bought two . And I was shocked when she said it only costs $11 .70 or 500 pesos in our own currency . It’s that expensive for a vinegar . She said his husband is diabetic and fat so she bought them for him . He drinks one tablespoon of it before every meal . It is said that it can lower the blood sugar , high blood and cholesterol and is a good way to detox . Luckily , I only need to drink my green tea to help me lower my cholesterol , so I don’t need that . What is your say on this guys ?

It's not only the apple cider vinegar that is effective in lowering blood pressure, also white vinegar is good.

@LadyDuck Wow, that's nice . Since apple has its healthy & preventive benefits as well as grapes , they can both be really used to help for our health .

@SIMPLYD No, our white vinegar is made with grapes, the one made of coconut does not work.

We have the similar apple vinegar here, but it will not be so expensive. Usually it costs about USD5 to have a nice bottle of apple vinegar here. We also think it is healthy to have it a little everyday. But I am not sure whether it is fine for the diabetic because diabetic has a strict rule for food.

@SIMPLYD I think it is better to consult the doctor at first. As I think somewhat there will be some sugar in the vinegar. And this disease can't be cured so far.

I have it sometimes (I forget at others) and I've been doing this maybe 10 months now. I haven't noticed any differences and it is very expensive. i think it costs so much because it is so popular as a health aid.

@MsTickle I take two tablespoons of it and place it in a tiny shot glass and fill it with warm water , and drink it up in one quick drinking . Then , i drink a mugful of warm water . In a little while , i will be rushing to the toilet . That way , it is said that it cleanses the liver and other health benefits too .

I have that in my kitchen all the time because my husband is drinking that to maintain his BP and also it cures a lot of illnesses. I do buy that in any outlet of Healthy Options (that big size) at PHP340 at Healthy Options and even in SM Supermarkets although you have to make sure you buy during delivery days because they sell like hotcakes. The smaller bottle is PHP225 so I always buy the big bottle to save more than a hundred pesos. If you remember I even posted an article here about that sometime in August 2015.

So , what else can this apple cider cure ? So it's only PhP340.00 . Well , it passed two hands , my officemate who sells them and her sister who supplies them . I bet she bought it from there also . Indeed , i have know that this sells like hotcakes . People now are indeed into curing and preventing whatever that can deteriorate their health . Yes, i remembered your post about that . Also KnehKnah i think posted something about receiving one as a gift . By the way , i think KnehKnah isn't posting the past weeks . I hope she's okay .

@salonga You really are a health buff , my friend , seeing all those bottles that can help us to be healthy . I also have that VCO which i would sometimes pour some into my ginger concoction i posted about last week . As to Virgin olive oil , is this what we should use in salad or for cooking , since there is another type , right ?

@SIMPLYD Hi! Twas good that I scrolled your page & this article of yours caught my attention. Yes, I am now a Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar certified user. Been drinking 2tbsps of that mixed with 2tbsps of Aunt Sues' pure honey in a glass of warm water, every morning 30 minutes before breakfast. Its health benefits? I no longer have painful gouty attacks, praise God! So, I packed again my walker & stored it at the mezzanine! Aside from that, my bp which was usually soaring high despite meds, is now tamed to 130/80 (at times even lower). My hair became shiny & smelling better (after pouring a 50/50 acv & water on it, 30 minutes before a bath). I no longer use a deodorant because I always smell clean (after applying pure bragg acv in a cotton in my armpits 30 minutes before a bath). Yes, my armpits still perspire but it emits no bad smell. Etc. To those who are still hesitant to try Bragg's ACV, forget its high price (if indeed you find it too costly). Think of its health benefits (at a very low cost. Consider too that until now, after more than a year of drinking it, I haven't felt any side effects.

I came upon your post here from another vinegar post! This is the vinegar we use everyday! I put a few drops of this in my water first thing when I wake up. Then I might drink more later on in the day if I think of it. For my husband it got rid of his heartburn (which he was getting everyday) - and for me, well, they say there are a lot of other health benefits so I say why not just drink it. Our friends say it has helped them to lose a lot of weight and give them more energy. Here, it costs like $3.99 for the smaller bottle and I think about $5.99/6.99 for the bigger one . . . so it kinda shocks me that it is nearly double the price there (though there are big jugs of it, I think - not sure how much that is). I do like that taste of it - so that it is part of my daily routine - along with green tea as well!

I think it's a vinegar made from sugar cane that is originated from Cebu . It's so spicy , but they do have the sweetened one and its so tasty . So nice for fried foods . Yes some said that this Bragg's Apple Cider can be ordered online .

I think they make a healthy apple cider vinegar and in that frame the price is reasonable. Though I think it is a bit cheaper here. I have not bought that one in a while as I am trying others that are about $7.
