What Time Do You Rise?

What time do you get up of a morning? Are you one that likes to sleep in, if you can? I am surprised by the number of people that don’t have to get up early, but rise before the sun does. It seems that those who don’t have to get up early do anyway.
I like waking up before hubby. The house is quiet and I can work on my computer in peace. My lap top sits on the dining room table, beside a large “picture” window and I love to watch the sunrise! I also have a bird feeder hanging from a tree right outside that window and I can watch so many birds come and go.
What time do you get up of a morning and why?

@nanette64 Well you have animals that you have to get up for in the morning, I don't. And the husband can get his own breakfast!

@sgbrown I snore but he doesn't mind it, I can't stand his snoring - the whole house shakes.

@AbbyGreenhill I don't think I am a "loud" snorer, but hubby is a light sleeper. He doesn't snore often, but when he does, it rattles the windows!

@carlaabt I have always been a "good" sleeper and slept through the night. The only thing that will wake me is our driveway alarm. If someone drives up our driveway an alarm goes off, but sometimes it goes off all by itself. It picks up on the metal in a vehicle. When it goes off by itself, hubby says the deer are walking by with their "bling" on!

I have never been much of a "night owl". Even when I was much younger, when it gets dark, I am ready to go to bed!

I am retired and can sleep however long I want. But for some reason I'm always up early. Strange.

I don't think I could sleep until 9:00 am if I wanted to. I think my body is so used to getting up early that it wouldn't let me!

When I have to work, I am usually up by 6-7 a.m. When I am off, I can usually sleep in until about 8:30-9 depending on when my son wants to get up.

Yes, with kids in school and a working husband, I'm sure you don't get to "sleep in". I do remember those days!

When my eyeballs open @sgbrown . Unless I have to be somewhere early; otherwise it can be between 7:30 and 8:30. I love not having to set my alarm anymore to go to a job.

I do love not having to set that alarm! I usually get up now just as early as I did when I had to leave the house to go to work, but it's just not the same when you have to wake up to an alarm clock!

I am working on a night shift so I really don't wake up at morning, instead I sleep when I get home. When I'm off, I usually wake up at 7 am - 11 am. I'm not a morning person I want to spend morning at our bed. But we need to wake up early because of the baby. He's an early riser and he wants to go outside. I seize the opportunity to stay under the first sun if there is for my baby. If the baby is not in the house then we get up at around 8 am to see him who's under the care of my sister-in-law when I'm at work.

@sgbrown I never thought that I can work on a night shift straight for two years now. But there are times that I request for a day shift if I needed to. I worked before for night shift but the schedule is shifting every week. Now I can manage to work on a night shift since the salary has an increase versus day shift.

@shameigene Hubby used to have to work a rotating shift and working nights was always the hardest on him and the rest of the family. Thank goodness, he is retired now and is home every night!

I like getting up around 5:30 or 6:00. If I sleep later than that, I am disappointed in myself.

I am a morning person. The alarm clock sounds at 5:30 AM and I am out of bed almost instantly. If I am on vacation we don't set the alarm, I awaken at almost the same time and get out of bed.

@sgbrown I have had my three year old granddaughter for the last week plus. I'm so ready for a break. She was so generous she shared her cold with my husband and myself.

I never have to set an alarm anymore and what a wonderful feeling! I used to get up at 5:30 when I worked, now I wake up around 5:00 or 5:30 most mornings anyway. I did sleep until 6:30 this morning, but yesterday was a long and tiring day!

I am one that likes to sleep in, if I can. I do not have a fixed time and generally get up between 7-10 a.m. depends on what time I hit the sack which is more than often after midnight. Every night when I go to bed I resolve to wake up before 6 a.m. but by the morning resolution gets out and "good ol' mornin' nap" stays in mind.

I have never really liked to "sleep in". I think I feel like I am going to miss something! I have always had a hard time staying up late, I am usually in bed by 10:30. I will have to admit that some days I do take a short "cat nap" around 2:00 in the afternoon!
