Back to playing poker

Growing up, I was introduced to the sinful art of playing poker. Being a roofer, sometimes you have to wait until the cold season elapses before you can make a decent wage. Most people should know that if you are roofing during the winter time, you can only make about %10 of what you would normally make during he Summer. I's harsh, but we always took he bad with the good. Sometimes we would play poker. We would gamble away at what little we made, but if you were good, (or lucky), you would make a paycheck in one day, (or make a big percentage of it). I decided to get away from gambling for my conscious, and starting gambling for free. There are A LOT of places you can go to win money, yet it costs nothing. For me, this falls into the, "no gambling" policy. If I can't lose money, well, it's not gambling. It's a contest. I decided two years ago to stop, because it also took a lot of time out of my daughter's life. I would rather raise my kid at night, then play poker, (mainly Texas Holdem). I missed it, but my kid is now at the ripe age of 12, and now she doesn't need me to watch her 24/7, so I came up with an Idea: Play cash games online. Since I've signed up, I have won around $6, but I haven't been there long. My kid is still being raised, because I do this AFTER she goes to bed. Time is sometimes wasted doing this, but it's my time, and the money that I"ll be winning will help. Would you play if it was free and paid cash?

I will play for free, but I doubt I would win at poker. I had to teach myself card games when I was young, because my mother didn't allow cards in the house. I learned to play poker from the encyclopedia. My mother bought lots of those.

I do play for free, but the winnings are all virtual. I still get a buzz out of it though.
