Will the End of Persona Paper Change MyLot?

I wrote in both places as I felt that it was better to put articles on Persona Paper. I just love to write.
Now I am wondering if, due to the lack of places to write that had a format as congenial as Persona Paper, will we see ano expansion in the type of posts we find here.
I think it will be nice to see what happens. Places to write and earn are going to the wall fast...

@LadyDuck and @pgiblett, I joined several months ago when I first learned of the site, more to see what the site was about than because of any sudden closures. It was here I actually learned of the B's sudden demise. I know many of my connections from there migrated here and I've since reconnected with several of them.
Since PP announced it would be closing, I've seen several of my connections there giving this site a try. Of course, there were already many of us active on both sites. I think the addition of these folks will enhance what is already a dynamic site.

Hopefully these sites shutting will make mylot pick up more members.
Mylot has been around in one shape or another for longer than these sites so maybe people will realise that and stick here instead of going to these here today gone tomorrow places.

people do need to realise this is a discussion site though rather than an article place.
Put something up here and you have to be prepared to defend what you've written as people will want to discuss rather than purely read.

@JolietJake Probably I should have chosen a different word than defendthey'll think this is an adversarial gladiatorial type place

I think that will be the frustration. I suppose some articles do invite discussion. However I did get positive responses when I asked about bringing the Catblog
here a while ago.

I just joined myLot three days ago and I'm liking it a lot so far. I like the casual, friendly atmosphere and hope the site does succeed. I should think a lot of former Bubblews and PP writers will come here as soon as they find out about it. I just hope the site doesn't get spammed and filled with undesirable writers like Bub did.

I just came over from PP and it's been okay so far. Always hard to start over on a new site.

I have mixed feelings on the subject. Of course it is great when people come on here and interact. However, it seems that many people from sites like that do not understand that this is a discussion site where we earn from the activity of other people on our content. Therefore, when they just come here and post a bunch of articles and collect responses, they might be earning well but the poor people who respond to those articles earn NOTHING. If they comment back to the responders, on the other hand, then it becomes a discussion and everybody earns and learns.

There will be a few who will show more interest here as although they were already here they were not active.

I have been wondering the same thing now that PP is taking its last ragged breaths. Some of us are still hoping it will remain as a site for interaction, though non-paying.
As to changing myLot, it will be interesting to watch and see if the influx of PP writers will mean more article types of posts about which discussion can foment. I hope that perhaps there will be and have posted several like that myself over the last few days just to see if they attract interest.

@JohnRoberts I joined back in August but my activity level was intermittent until recently, for obvious reasons. Glad to have you here. I, too, am trying to keep up the same quality of article as I had at PP. To help me do that, I'm revising, some more, some less, of my articles from there once I delete them from there.

I am glad to see other PP folk here. Sort of a comfort and gives promise that this site can be something of a PP duplicate. I am going to do my same old thing here.

People like me are drifting over from PP basically because there is no other place to go other than Hubpages.

We can expect that many people will find another place to write and this is a good one.

I'm still figuring out what I'm going to do, but I'll probably end up writing more posts here. But the longer, serious articles that I would have posted on Persona Paper, I'll probably just put on my blog.
