Where is your dream vacation spot? Have you been saving towards it? Lets start living

I have had a few dream vacation spots in mind for years now, but I have never taken that ideal vacation which is sad. Life is for living and it's not living if we work hard everyday but we are not truly LIVING. My ideal vacation spot would be some where like Bora Bora, Tahiti or Greece. I'm pledging that this year I will start saving towards my vacation and hope you do too. Life is about living doing all that you can until we can't do them anymore but by then we have the memories to hold on to.

I've never been for a vacation for years. I am the type of person who do not travel for leisure. I mean I just go to the mall with my husband and see my friends but not to travel. My dream vacation is to go to Paris, Canada, Israel and Italy. Quite a lot for a non-travel person like me. I wanted to go abroad, I want to work there but luck is not on my side. Lately, I think of going to Macau for my baby's 1st birthday and to visit my sister-in-law who's working there, but when I try to book a flight reservation, I cannot afford it even if I save. Our money will never afford it cause we need to attend to our baby's need and pay our debt. But that is fine, I know that one day I will travel abroad not just for now.

I really do hope you get to take that we'll deserved vacation @shameigene. Maybe you should try booking in the seasons when flights to the particular country is cheap as @scheng1 suggests.

@Islandtulip I hope so, but still I need to think of our necessities. That's my priority. My husband thinking of going together with he's sister and husband to the province. He wanted us to come. I do not like cause the means of transportation is by ship. I don't feel safe there. Another supposed to be vacation turn into stone. that's fine as long as my baby is safe, I'm fine.

I take vacation every year, and I will check the exchange rate, the airfare or cruise fare, and the weather before I make final decision. It is a good time to visit places like Canada and Australia now, because their currencies are sinking.

That's a really great idea to do research first to lower cost. I really like to visit Australia one day too.

It would have to be Ireland. I've never been to Ireland before, but, always have wanted to go. I think Ireland is a beautiful country, even with the rain. But, it's still a pretty greenery country. I love Ireland.

I have stopped pining for dream vacation spots. A vacation anywhere would be fine. Maybe it is the side effect of having a famous tourist destination as my hometown (ooty).

Like they said, When you are young, you have enough time, but you dont have enough money. When you are getting older, you have enough money, but you dont have enough time. When you are even older, you have enough money and time, but probably your health doest allow you to go somewhere anymore. This is the ultimately sad condition if we live a life like that. Yes,i do have a plan to go somewhere this year. Hoping to see your pictures posted here soon, about all those nice views in Tahiti or Greece.

You are so right @Icyfog that's why when we get to the point where we do have the money, we make our minds up to take the time for ourselves. I really do hope my vacation does come through by next year and I will be sure to post the pics. Hope you share yours too and have a lot of fun.

I have a dream vacation in mind and that is to go to beaches but also the same time experience snow :p for the beaches, I intend to discover the beaches here in the Philippines. As for the snow, I think the closest to our country is South Korea or Japan. I hope we can save up for it too

@Islandtulip Yes, please do. I feel bad that I have not really explored the Philippines and admire what we have in our own country. I, too have a friend from Jamaica. He was a co-worker which eventually led to us being very good friends :-)

The beaches in the Philippines are beautiful, I recently found a friend online who is from there. Hope to visit her there one day and have her visit my country as well.

I hope you make your trip. I have had several wonderful trips. This year I am spending a month in Banff Alberta and skiing for the month! A life time dream coming true.
