What Is The Popping Sound!!

I am hearing popping sounds recently and nope I am not going mad! It is my ears that are popping because of my cold. Although my cold is getting better now I still feel low on energy and my ears are popping, so I really hope I don't end up getting ear infection :(
The popping sound can drive me crazy!!

Oh I hate it when my nose and ears are all stuffed. Then, my ears pop and the television all of a sudden is so loud that it is hurting my eardrums. Of course, after I turn it down to a tolerable level, my ears get clogged again, the sound is muffled a barely audible, and I have to turn it up again.

@gudheart There have been times when my ears have actually hurt from that, and I have gone to the doctor to find out whether or not I had an ear infection. Most times I did not, but the doctor said that the pressure can cause it to hurt and make it feel like an ear infection.

@purplealabaster I had an infection last year and it was awful as it affected my balance and so I could not walk for weeks.

@gudheart I think that popping might just be pressure in your ears.
