According to news reports, Deborah Miller was a 60 year old from California. She had met 28 year old Krishna through Facebook four years back. Krishna having lost his mother during his teens found Deborah to be a warm and comforting person and they bonded over the years. Deborah did not have any children and she treated Krishna like her son. Recently Krishna got married in UP and he invited Deborah who flew all the way from US to India to attend the wedding. She even donned the traditional attire and took part in the wedding ceremony. Who knew this was possible? Not everything about social media is bad. After all the negative news floating around on social media, this news restores our faith in humanity. Wherever we are born, all humans are basically the same. As 'EPIC' says - different leaves, one tree. What are your thoughts on this? Image Credit: Yahoo

I think this is wonderful! They filled a void in each others lives. It shows that social media can bring about good and happy moments. :-)

It connected a mother and son across different cultures and countries. True love knows no boundaries.

A lovely story that shows not all social media friendships and relationships are creepy or doomed

That's lovely, and not at all surprising to me knowing the kinds of relationships we can form with people online

@Scindhia I've told probably too many personal things to my friends here over the years

That is correct. But how many of us have the courage to confide our personal things to a complete stranger? I appreciate their mutual trust.

Positive things keep happening all over the world, but the negativity hogs the limelight shadowing such wonderful stories. Universe intended us to be one. As you said, we created the differences.

@Scindhia Yes, we need to highlight the positive news for us not to get disheartened but for the negatives we should invite the long arm of law to take care of them - siva
