We have a dog in our home. She is a mixed breed dog, I don't know for sure what breeds she has, but, she's a small dog. She's about 9 months old, and we named her Pookie. I've had dogs all of my life. Dogs are my favorite animals, other than bunnies. I like bunnies too. So, what about you? Do you have any pets in your home? Share please!!!

I use to have a solid black cat named Midnight. Until I traded him for a small puppy from my mother. Than her husband named him Tom. LOL He's got quite a few funny stories that he has done in his time of being in our family. LOL Cats are funny, and dogs are funny too. LOL Thanks for responding!!!

I have tow dogs, one a pom, and the other a shihtuz mix. They are my faithful companions since i am divorced and live alone. It is nice to have pets that I can talk to, even though they either bark or wag their tails. I take them for walks when the weather is good. In fact, I walked them just a little while ago, and they always seem to enjoy their walks, as much as I do. I am glad that I have them, so that I am not as lonely as I would be without them.

I like the pomeranium dog, and the shihtzu dogs. My mother and father once had a full blood shihtzu dog back in the mid 70s, and she was a very good dog. Very sweet temperment, and enjoyable dog. She passed away years ago due to old age. Thanks for responding @rosekiss

@danny1971 You are very welcome. My pomeranian is a normal size one, and not the toy size, but she still wants to be on my lap and picked up omce in awhile. My shihtzu has pug in here as well, as she looks like a pug in the face, and has the pugs taiil. Her body favores the shihtzu though. I got here at the humane society, and she has been a very good companion since then. The pomeranian, I bought at a pet store back in 2008, when she was 4 months old, so she has been a good companion too.

@rosekiss that's awesome that you got your shihtzu puppy from a shelter. I think that when we get dogs, we should get them from the shelter if possible. On the pomeranium puppy, that's great too. Dogs are awesome pets to have if you raise them right. You know about the pit bulls, and how people say that they are afraid of them? That's because their owners trained them to be mean like that. I have always said that pitt bulls can be sweet and loving dogs too if they are trained right by their owners. Thanks for responding!!!

I like to have a cat at home but my dad doesn't allow it. Therefore I can only have tropical fish at home. At least it is better than nothing.

yes, true. But, have you talked to your father about owning a cat? And told him how much you'd like to have a cat in the home? Sometimes if we talk to our parents, and tell them how we really feel, than they may give in to letting us have what we want if they think that we really need it. But, a cat, is totally different story concerning need. It is a pet. a pet gives us a companionship, and is lovable to us. Thanks for responding @youless!

@KristenH yup, dogs have always been a human's best friend! My puppy now, she's always laying down beside of me on the couch, wanting me to play with her, etc. She's sweet.

Used to foster a yr old maltese x poodle called Jedda, she was adopted. Own two very fluffy cats (Siberian very clever , understands the question "do you want to go to the balcony", and a Ragdoll who is cute but ditzy). Also had a pet rat who was very affectionate and agile but she sadly passed away.

My mother has some cockatiel birds at her home. One of them she lets stay in the house and roam around. He is cute as a button. LOL He talks to you, he knows how to say at least 5 to 10 words.
